They’ve really been crowded out of the market by NXT and AEW so its not a surprise they’ve struggled, having no live shows during covid must have really hurt too.
I wonder how long it’ll take the vultures to circle on their talent. Not that they’re the wellspring they used to be.

Between this and ROH releasing their entire roster at the end of next month there’s a real opportunity for Impact or NWA to step up a gear. AEW is surely full by now.

I’m guessing he can’t do high flying anymore because of it but a man his size could easily transition into a Mark Henry Hall of Pain style thing where he doesn’t need to be so mobile because he’s all power.
Unless his heart and lungs really are on the edge still.

Jax saying she was written off TV to deal with mental health issues.
She got her return schedule this week, but asked for an extended break. Didn't hear anything till she was released.

At least she will get redundancy payments for giving them years of her blood, sweat and tears. Oh no, that's right - the fed don't have the decency to actually employ any of the wrestlers despite insisting they can't pursue any alternative income streams and pay for/arrange their own travel to shows. Such a scummy company unless youre in the inner inner circle/select few.

I didn’t even know Harry Smith was working for WWE…
So many NXT guys never get a fair crack of the whip once they get called up. It’s mental. The exception is obviously Nia Jax who got several opportunities but couldn’t help trying to kill everyone she got in the ring with. At least now she won’t have to do degrading “look at the big clumsy woman” bits now.

I think Smith did a couple of Smackdown dark matches and some social media stuff but was basically just benched until creative could find something for him to do. Total waste of everyone’s time when he could be actually getting tv time in Impact, NWA or AEW.

He did a dark match, got hired but was told to keep it quiet, WWE then mentioned it. Then he got covid and was again told not to tell anyone only for the WWE to do it then he got released.
With Lee gone in going to go with Balor to win the RR.

4 ppvs a year is perfect. And to be fair it only feels like a few weeks ago it was All Out. It's insane that WWE have 12+ a year, the pace is too frantic and just means that nothing means anything.
Speaking of which, in last the last 2 years the aew title has had two changes of champion. By contrast in the same time the wwe world championship has had 8. WWE maths, 3x amount of ppvs = 4x amount of title changes. Nothing has meaning.
Will be buying Full Gear this weekend... between aew ppvs I usually earn about a fiver of Google survey rewards which I can then use to knock money off ordering the ppv over Fite TV.

Good thing(hopefully) is WWE are cutting back on the number of PPVs they do from next year plus most will be Saturday now.
Hate the Eliminated chamber, HiaC extreme rules(that only had 1 ER match last time) and other themed PPVs.
Would like it if they went back to the King of the Ring PPV but that's never happening. Would be perfect for NXT in order to push the next 'star' to the main roster.

The cody match was a bit meh, which was an achievement considering the wrestlers in the ring, felt like something that should have been on dynamite instead of a ppv.
It was still an overall great ppv, though, other than a few duds. Opening and title match were amazing and I really enjoyed the superkliq match - the top team match was a mess in comparison.

SuperKliq match was great but ten minutes too long for a high octane spot fest in my opinion. They lost the crowd at various points. Speaking of which, I didn't think the crowd for this was as hot as All Out or Grand Slam but they were Chicago/NYC shows so you always expect a super hot crowd to add to the atmosphere.
Feel a bit "meh" at the Jay Lethal signing.
Loved the botch in the Jericho match when JDS missed he cue and Jericho could be heard shouting "Junior!!" as he waited awkwardly on the ropes before doing a lionsault.
Wasn't that into the FTR Lucho Bros match either, the finish was too convoluted.
