I was going to amend Edgar Allen Poe's 'The Raven' and instead of a bird have a pen instead, but I am just too tired

I came into this thread fully expecting to learn that Wunty's 'i' key had broken, but it seems the truth is far more sinister. Now I'm concerned that the pens will continue to accumulate, one by one, until Halloween... whereupon they'll reveal their sentence, and implement phase two of their (no doubt nefarious) plan. STAY VIGILANT.

No love for mechanical pencils? I’ve got an Uni Kuru Toga High Grade and a Pentel Graphgear 1000 and they’re just delightful.

I’m afraid I’m a basic 0.5 HB bitch, but I’ve been snapping the leads recently so I might switch.
Or just stop hulking out I suppose.

Onny yes 0.5 is too thin for me, even 0.7 is a bit sometimes if you give it an extra click by mistake. Staedtler erasers all the way.

I think then pen is an altered item with the power to clone itself.
Seems benign enough now but if the cloning rate is exponential we'll be overrun.

After using them loads for DCT and technical drawing in school, I fell back in to mechanical pencils for note taking about 10 years ago - I adore their tactileness (is that a word?).
I usually use either a Kuru Toga (smooth AF to write with thanks to the rotation, great value, but a little light), a silver Rotring Rapid Pro (awesome grip and weight), or a Pentel Graphgear (the nib is a bit too long to feel natural). I treated myself to a Lamy 2000 years ago (at half the current prices by the look of it), but it's not a great grip nor build quality (I had to send it to them for a repair at one point).

Lamy fountain pen with a converter and extra fine nib is my 'proper' writing pen. Pentel Energel is my go-to clicky pen.

I’m bowling with the family. Guess what I’ve just found in my pocket. It wasn’t there before I swear.
Who’s going to guess what colour my pen is.

I'd love it if this is the guy you fell out with a few weeks ago coming back for his (undeserved) revenge. Could he the start of a slow descent into madness.

Good tip about the Lamy. I enjoy the receding nib on the graphgear - I have had the occasional mishap where I’ve bent it when it’s in a pocket. I also thought I’d hate the grip on it but it’s actually ok. I’d actually like a wooden grip but I can’t seem to find a decent one.
