Can I ask where you UID originates from? I recall it being in Spectrum game when I was a kid (I recall you needed his ID card to progress?) but this is very vague and he wasn’t a major character. Possibly one of the Knight games Universal Hero.
They spelled Slartibartfast wrong too. Slartibardfast, I remember it to this day..
Fuck me thats it! Also - due to the wrong spelling, I was stuck for ages as you had to enter the persons name as the "passcode" and I was stuck as kept entering the wrong spelling of it. |

Good to see I'm not alone. My EG forum bookmark links to the "Threads I've posted in" section and I was wondering why the fuck there's suddenly nobody posting anymore. I thought he fit in quite well here. He wasn't offensively horrible (as far as I know) but created enough tension, without it blowing up into drama, to be interesting. He seemed to be able to take the flak he got pretty well. You need Wayne

Cross post from the other place... I was going through my "Threads you posted in" for a bit of nostalgia, and found one of those surveys we'd sometimes get asked to complete by university students. Quick Google of the name, university and subject, and it turns out she submitted her 150 page dissertation* 3 years later. So well done her for going the distance, and thank you folks for your contributions I guess! Also made me realise we won't be sought out for our opinions here... Rodger Reedpop's gain from zapping the forum is a terrible loss for UK students. Where will they go now for responses to their (often poorly constructed or intrinsically biased, but sometimes interesting) research questionnaires? *(I haven't read all 150 pages, for all I know it could be dogshit, but it looks smart enough) |
