Looks like I already bought them a few years ago. Completely forgot!

Oh, if you kill Commander Zhalk in the opening he drops his greatsword, which is quite strong at that level. Not easy to do, I had to get lucky with some debuffs.

So this has local co-op (for up to two people), huh. Kind of ironic that after a good dozen or so of Lego... Everything games in the house, this is the game that has a good chance of DadFE and I co-oping through it

I managed about an hour of playing alongside my brother through the tutorial. Seems good so far, similar to D:OS2 in the multiplayer aspects. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.

I had to lower the difficulty to medium for that. Even then most of my party was incapacitated by the time I pushed the button. (worth it though)

Played about 3 hours of this last night. This could well be game of the year material, incredible level of detail in the mechanics and the FMV is outstanding. Going to be a long time completing this and the turn based combat is probably the best thing for my increasingly slow reactions

This has made me dig out Ye Olde Laptop of Once per Decade PC Releases. Serious stuff.

I'm not usually one to get excited by gwaffix but this really is amazing. The character animations are just incredible, especially facial reactions during dialogue.

Oh blimey.
It's got a Mac release on Steam. I wish I hadn't seen that.

Well, indeed. Probably well enough for me, tbh. Especially as I don't have a PC to play it on. M2 Air, probably not really a gaming powerhouse but I'm sure it'd run ok on average settings.
Edit, steam:
M1 Chip requirements: MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, or Mac mini with Apple M1 chip and 16GB of RAM.SSD recommended.

My second pc is pretty average, fairly old i5 16gb ram and an Nvidia 2060 and it runs fine at 1440p.
Somehow the Mrs gets to use the good one when we play co-op haha.

I don’t think the Mac version is out until September, same as the PS5.
I’m also tempted to try it on my company MBP as I don’t have a PC (or PS5) to play it on.

A level 12 cap feels very weird these days.
I need my numbers to keep going up!

I assume it will go up if/when they release DLC. But 12 is a decent number, you still get a lot of the fun spells.

Is it fine on the steam deck? I'll find out myself in a few hours.

Following a message at the start I’ve spent 30 minutes updating my graphics card drivers and now it just crashes each time I try to launch it.
Forgot how much I love PC gaming.

I seem to have an interesting error when first starting the game that results in it killing my Internet for a bit. I have to literally pull the network cable out of my PC and back in again to get it to work. Weird.

Disappointed I appear to be unable to sit here for the next 2 hours trying to reroll 18s across the board :/

Is it fine on the steam deck? I'll find out myself in a few hours. It's probably not the ideal way to play but in the absence of a gaming PC I'm a few hours in and it's been more than okay for me. The controller support is similar to DOS2 and the performance (without having tweaked much so far) maintains close to 30 FPS. I need to check out the recommendation to reduce the fan noise though...!

Astarion the pre-rolled vampire.
I remember from D:OS2 picking a premade character gave more story and side quests than if you just rolled your own. Plus I am lazy and have no imagination.

A Drow bard based on my most recent D&D character. Who wasn't a bard.
It's so good so far. So many systems to play with like an immersive sim, or real D&D. Plus it's not narratively boring like Divinity so far. Actual writing. Marrying Divinity with Bioware chat was kind of unthinkable but maybe they've done it.

I'm a Deep Gnome Warlock, with the Great Old One subclass.
I haven't played the Early Access in 2 years or so, near enough to remember much that I've seen so far, but not near enough to actually know what has changed. It's been great so far though.
Just cleared out the chapel near the crash and met with Withers. About to do my second long rest, as the fights there were pretty draining. Is there much reason to not just long rest at any opportunity, assuming you have the supplies?

Astarion the pre-rolled vampire. I remember from D:OS2 picking a premade character gave more story and side quests than if you just rolled your own. Plus I am lazy and have no imagination. That's what they're there for, after all.
Plus it's not narratively boring like Divinity so far. Actual writing. Marrying Divinity with Bioware chat was kind of unthinkable but maybe they've done it. I'm not nearly far enough in to render any kind of judgment, but it's been good so far. As I understand it this is the first one where they have an actual lead writer and a more structured writing team, which probably helps. And the lead writer happens to be our Adam Smith of old Rockpapershotgun fame, so it'll be fun to see what he can do in a game. Is there much reason to not just long rest at any opportunity, assuming you have the supplies? I'm a little farther ahead but not much and so far I haven't seen any reason not to rest whenever it's needed. I'm drowning in camping supplies, so at least that doesn't seem to be something you need to worry about.
