If you want tonally accurate "feeling" of the places, nobody does it better than Rockstar. GTA4 and 5 are masterclasses for that. Everything else is more broad strokes.

I’m surprised there are so few games that have accurate cities. I’m sure it would be a similar amount of effort as it takes some of the design work out of it.

Absolutely nothing matches the London of the two Getaway games, shame any further games with modern tech will never happen.
That brings back good memories of Christmas 2002. JOLSON YOU BASTARD. I'm glad the mechanic of resting against a wall to gain health never caught on.. that was my only gripe with the game. I reckon I could play that today and get more enjoyment out of it than some AAA titles today. |

I think there's a lot more issues with rights and similar these days, such as the Chrysler Building, that it's not worth the effort to try and do it too accurately. The Getaway is incredible in that so much is correct and using real brands and shops. The one problem they got into was after release and BT wasn't too happy one of their vans was used by your character to infiltrate a cop shop and potentially waste a load of plod.
Later disc pressings had it altered to a made up company.

Ha I didn't know that about BT. I remember the van being BT.. sadly I don't have my original copy anymore, and rebought it a long time ago. I wonder if mine does have the BT van in. I'm sad enough to blast through and check this  |

It was pretty mind blowing at the time even if the handling left a little to be desired and whilst realistic, the traffic made things a nightmare at times. You could navigate easily from memory, but the odd side street was missing. I often found myself overshooting because a visual clue had been missing. Would be amazing to see what they could do now. |

On the fidelity/performance thing, I’m able to play on 120HZ with VRR, and Fidelity mode seems nice and smooth so I think I might just play with all the shinies on for once.

The wings in combination with webslinging certainly helps getting across water and Central Park, the speed you can get up to doing combos of wind tunnels and updrafts to keep going is great.
One thing I've really enjoyed is just how alive the city is, it wasn't bad in the earlier games but it's so much busier now. At one point early on you're just being Pete in the world and I hope there's some more of that just to take it all in and go for a walk. I don't think I'm alone in just exploring open worlds on foot.

They’ve definitely added in the wings as a fix for areas like the park/water as you say. The latter in particular was responsible for some annoyances in the first game.
I’m enjoying using the wings to mix it up a bit when travelling.

I’m pretty sure as long as the primary account person has it on their account everyone under that account also gets it.
