Hi guys and gals. I've only just found out this forum is where everyone went when the EG forums went bye bye!! Thanks HANDS0MECRAB!
As you may be aware, EA are shutting down the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 severs in December and it triggered Mr Brett to get in touch to see if it would be possible to get the old EGGMILF crew back for a few last games before shut down.
I know that AndyTheAdequate and StivaYou still play regularly, so I'm trying to get as many of the old crew together as possible. Any new members who wish to join simply need to pay the entry fee (only enough so I can buy an RTX3060) and swear the EGGMILF oath.
And I promise not to arrange any more inter-forum matches. About 10 years have passed since 'that night' against the Battlefield forum members and I still have nightmares about death by repair tool, so lets not go there again...

Anyone know why all my progress may be missing? Not played for about a year.

I'm assuming we'll be playing on Xbox? I can do any evening apart from Monday, Tuesday or Thursday, or any night after 9.30pm. Happy to make it a regular thing too if others are keen.

Ha love the fact people are still just discovering the existence of the EG lifeboat.
Used to get involved in some EGGMILF nights here and there on the 360. Would be up for one last hurrah - BFBC2 still (Arica) harbours some of my favourite online gaming memories. Having a Squad of 4 IRL mates was epic especially with the spawn on squad feature.

Oof, I no longer have a machine it runs on.
I remember EGGMILF being a stunningly good Minecraft seed in the earliest build of the game, too.

Holy fuck - I remember that night.... I still have my 360. Not switched it on in a while though. Thankfully I was crap at BFBC2 back then, so my performance wouldn't be any worse now. There's a lot to be said for playing support and just chucking out med-packs/ammo (or was that my BF3 tactic?) I certainly have memories of following AcidSnake into battle! |

What's the requirements here? I've moved on a bit from 360 BC2? but I have Game Pass on my sons XB-Series S, will that do the job?
My boy wasn't even born the last time the EGGMILF rolled out!

BFBC2 is on Gamepass Ultimate and is playable on 360/Xbox One and Series S/X.
Speaking of which, imagine if it got one of those framerate boost or resolution patches.

16x AF and stable 30fps is what you get playing on any of the xbawkses released after the 360.

Awesome that there's so many up for it from 'the good ole days'.
My progress is 100% gone, I have no idea how as its stored on their servers, not just locally. I don't really want to pay to unlock a few bits, but I may just do it. I've had more than my monies worth out of that game and I'd be happy to throw DICE a few extra quid. It may even go further (along with the spike in players) to convince them to remaster it.
Although I did have a few games on BC2 maps on BF2042 and quite enjoyed it (with the 10 hour trial).
Anyone who wants to can throw me a friend request on xbox - Daddy Doom Bar. I'll have a chat with any others and arrange an actual 'proper' night for us.
Plus, apologies for the reminders of 'that night'...

One of the weird quirks of playing BC2 on a Series X is that the 360 Xbox Live friends don't always show any recently added ones, so it can be a bit tricky to join a game.
How about Wednesday evening? 8.30pm?

Not going to be able to make that one as I'm at work, but I've played a couple of games and I like how it's a little jankier than bf3/bf4 but with far more destructability. Feels like maps and matches evolve while you're playing them.
