So far, I've done the following (spoilers for anyone who hasn't played yet!):
Medical (security level reduced to 0%); Research (ditto); Maintenance (security level reduced, but not very far); Storage (barely scratched the surface); Flight Deck (one camera left to get security level to 0%); Reactor (security down to 0%, mining laser disabled).

Ah, if you've disabled the mining laser don't you need to jettison the groves? Do you have anything in your notes or audio files?
Or fuck it, Google it

Shodie said something about the Groves while she was yelling at me for destroying her precious laser - no idea what to do in that regard, mind! Will have another crack this evening and resort to Google if needs must

It's the groves then.
Shit, how do you get to the groves.
Wunty has just done this not long ago. I wonder if this thread has any clues!

You can go to Executive using the elevator from Manteinance, or the other elevator from Flight Deck.
The grove jettison process is a bit convoluted, so explore everything and listen to all logs when you are there.

I moseyed my way on up to the Executive level, and I'm now in something called D Grove (I think).

I got through it eventually, by using the cheesiest strat I could find; even then, I limped into the exit portal with one notch left on my HP bar.
This game is hard.

I've unlocked the safety mechanisms in Alpha and Delta Groves, while Gamma seems to have been jettisoned already.
I can't find Beta for the life of me, though - must've missed a keycard somewhere! Time to backtrack.

I found the missing keycard and made my way into Beta (the quadrant, not the grove... yet). A bit of a difficulty spike, this! There were three of those bloody mutated lion things in adjacent rooms. Fortunately, I've come up with a winning strategy: use a Berserk Combat Booster, then start swinging the Laser Rapier until one of us is dead. Pump myself full of drugs, flail around wildly, and hope in vain that everything will somehow work out - it's my life in video game form.

I use the very same technique with anything that takes a bit to put down. Take drugs, run in screaming and waving a sword around. Does the trick.

So apparently this area's big gimmick is, "Radiation, and lots of it!" - if I don't have the Radiation Suit, because I noped out of Storage after getting repeatedly reamed by the enemies there, do I have a cat in hell's chance of success?

Eddie Diego is down!
Now onto... I don't know, exactly. The lift near his office is non-operational.
Oh, well - that's tomorrow's problem.

It's brilliant that's why. The only thing stopping me from playing it more is the fact I'm knackered by the time I play anything and it needs me to concentrate so I have to wait until I'm in the mood.

It *is* brilliant, but in ways I struggle to explain (or even grasp internally).
Many of my initial concerns about the game have proven to be bang on the money - it's clunky, obtuse, unwieldy to play on controller, has godawful melee combat, and so on - and yet I love it, despite all the above.
Hell, I suspect I love it *because* of the above.

It genuinely doesn't care if you finish it or not. That's why I love it. It's a throw back to when developers didn't lead you by the hand through their games (which seemed to rise into prominence during the Ps3 / 360 era). The combat is slow and deliberate, you need to plan and really think before taking anything on. When I think back to how gaming once was (ie. this), I miss it, but thankfully it's making a massive resurgance (I think we can thank FROM for that at least in part for their similarly uncompromising games surging in popularity and reminding us all that part of the reason we game is because we WANT a challenge to a certain degree). Don't get me wrong, as I've griped in the ER thread, there still needs to be a balance between obtuse and difficult and measured and achieveable but this is a game that, for my money, gets the balance right.
