Demeo is meant to be really good. The iron lords podcast guys play it quite a bit and are always saying how good it is.

I thought there was an upgrade for Tetris Effect. Bit annoyed that I have to pay £32, will leave it for now. There is. I bought it for £8.99 earlier in the week. Rez also £8.99 and Thumper was £3.99 I think.

Headset is nowhere near as comfortable as PSVR 1 imo. That just sat nice and easily on top of your head and the visor kind of floated in front of your eyes. This one feels like a tight band around the perimeter of your head, rather than resting on top, with the visor pulling down a bit. Maybe I just need to play around with the position but that's not a great first impression. I’m fine with the headband, but I do feel the visor up against my nose with 2 which I don’t remember being a thing with 1. Maybe it’s a worthwhile trade off with the excellent light leak elimination?

It’s definitely more Gloomhaven than HeroQuest. If you’re into your dungeon crawler board games (or have been in the past) it’s a no-brainer.

Urgh. Despite being really careful handling the headset I’ve already picked up a scratch on the lens. Thought it was a spec of dust but it’s not. Looks like something has dropped onto it. Not sure if it was there before or not. Perhaps the usb head has hit it whilst moving it from and to the box. Only tiny though so I guess i won’t notice it.

Definitely getting my VR legs now. Can do GT pretty much no problem now. GT is astonishing. Probably my biggest gaming wow moment for about 20 years. Such a thrill to try out all the different cars, completely different from the normal game. The sense of place for each car is palpable. The way the seating positions changes and you have to learn to look for things like speed and mirrors in a different place for every car. It’s just so fucking cool. I think you have just cost me £600

Ah, I think it's because I only 'own' the PS Plus Extra version of the PS4 game. Makes sense I guess.

Yeah I might do. Reading online I think it’s just a part of the parcel of Vr lenses. Seem to scratch quite easily. I don’t think t effects in game stuff so I might be tempted to leave it. I’ll try and look for artefacts later on after work. Definitely getting my VR legs now. Can do GT pretty much no problem now. GT is astonishing. I think you have just cost me £600 It’s really cool. I was driving the Mercedes AMG GT3 car and you can’t quite see the right hand mirrors because you’re strapped into a head rest. The attention to detail is nuts.

Managed two laps in GT before. Not sure if I’m really shit in car or it was my car that was awful but I’m so slow compared to normal.

You should get noticeably faster once you get used to it. Much easier to see and hit the apex of corners in VR.

It definitely should feel easier as you can judge the depth and distance of corners a lot easier. Its why I often have to use the racing line in games as the flatness of it all doesn't compute in my brain

Just had a go of the Star Wars demo. Actually pretty decent. Wielding recognisable Star Wars weapons and grenades in VR was cool. Will probably pick it up in a sale.

The star wars demo was pretty good. Played another hour of resident evil village, so good, love it. Although could not remember how to heal myself 😂

Possibly stupid question, but if you have headphones that do the 3D audio thing wirelessly (via dongle) is that the same as having headphones plugged directly into the headset?

So what's the level of improvement over PSVR in terms of image quality/resolution alone?
Worth the jump, or not there yet?

So what's the level of improvement over PSVR in terms of image quality/resolution alone? Worth the jump, or not there yet? It's an obvious jump, but I think the wow factor is less for me this time as it's still just VR, just a bit better. It seems harder to find the sweet spot to get maximum sharpness than with version 1, and the headset is less comfortable. The tracking is way better though and the controllers are obviously streets ahead of the Moves.

How are you wearing the headset to be finding it less comfortable? I think it’s really nice, and getting a clear image is super simple with the IPD wheel on the visor (there’s no having to wiggle it on you face a bit like the last set).
I have it so that the main padding is quite high on my forehead, and the band feels almost at 45 degrees to the base of my skull. Obviously everyone is different but I’ve had no issues so far.
Tried Pistol Whip last night. Holy shit that’s good, and makes you feel like John Wick. The gf really likes Synth Riders. Played for a few hours yesterday and is already talking about putting it back on this afternoon.

Yeah, I don't think it's any less comfortable than 1. It still sits on your forehead instead of around the eyes. I tend to put the rear higher than Sony recommends, that way the light blocker is more tight around my face (though light still comes in on the sides because glasses). Maximum sharpness is still in a small area around the center and I still have to fiddle with the headset a little every time I put it on to find it. It's pretty much identical in both respects to the previous one.

Open map by grabbing you left side and pulling out - saving is via typewriters which you don't find until a little later in the initial level - don't think it tells you when it autosaves.

Really tempted to buy this, mostly because my Index is getting a bit long in the tooth. Realistically though, I’d be only for GT7, but that doesn’t work with my G27 wheel.
