The animation is so fucking weird. Who walks like that. The dude who did the mocap was probably a lot buffer than the model they slapped the animations on. He walks and runs like a bodybuilder, which is why it looks so weird on his slim figure. |

I'm pretty sure that's not it. It's just badly done animation. Look at the way he takes the lightsaber out and stuff, like he's on string.

Maybe both? At least the walk and run animations don't have enough z-axis movement in my eyes and the elbows are too far out, which is exactly how heavily muscular guys walk and run.

So I've just (re)started JFO, after giving up very early last time.
Oh, how do I long for the day when PC games won't have random massive stutter during traversal. The combat is prett unwieldy too. I'm half tempted to just drop it again, buuuut... it does look quite beautiful, and I needed a proving ground for the new GPU. So I guess I'll persist this time.

I'm at 9 hours in. Picking the pace up now (Lightfall distracted me for a long time). Still not sure I actually enjoy this game. The combat is floaty, and the metroidvania level design is annoying. Lack of fast travel hurts a lot too.
Currently in Kashyyk for the second time, in the section with all the bouncy mushrooms like you are Mario. Not sure if I'm at least halfway through, but judging from the unlocked force powers, I'm kinda assuming I am. Should be worth finishing at least, i guess.

Previews make it seem like the game is broader and open environments but I hope that doesn't replace the Metroidvania elements of the first game where areas were unlocked til you had the ability.

I've been pretty good this year! I think I'm on two games total, the rest has been older stuff I'm catching up on. Even though I'm not in the challenge this year.  I mainly like to wait on the EA stuff to get extra value out of GP. I'm waiting for the Dead Space remake, for example. But Jedi: Survivor... that's one I've really been looking forward to. Here's hoping for middling reviews!  |
