Isn't that the scene where Ant Man's entire purpose is to be the confused female who needs everything explained to her?

It's a LITTLE weird in Infinity War, because the "argument" between Banner and the Hulk is set up as if there's going to be some kind of resolution at the end (and, of course, the trailer misdirect of Hulk being in Wakanda). But it is an excellent scene in Endgame in the diner, with Professor Hulk signing autographs and stuff.
I know there are some Hulk fans who were disappointed by it, but personally I love it. I like how it's changed Banner's personality a little bit, he's more secure and jokey and less nervous. Ruffalo looks like he's having great fun in the role and it's infectious.

To be fair Professor Hulk was a long Peter David arc in the comics so it was always going to happen.

To be fair Professor Hulk was a long Peter David arc in the comics so it was always going to happen. For sure it was always the setup, but how they got there was pretty much glossed over with a single line of dialog even though the conflict had, like, two movies worth of hype. That’s what I meant by hand waving it away, it just happened behind the scenes. I’m guessing they’ll expand on it in She Hulk, but at the time it was a bit deflating compressing a mammoth storyline into a sentence during a joke scene at a diner. But I get there wasn’t the bandwidth or nuance required in the MCU for that.

Yeah, I agree. It feels like something that should have been in his own movie but that ain't happening anytime soon.

Also ten bucks says World War Hulk gets the same treatment. Hulk rampage, people decide to shoot him into space to stop it, he comes back angrier, they calm him down, the end. All neatly resolved in a little under two hours.

Is that even going to happen especially as parts of it we're folded into Ragnarok?

There have been rumours for a good 6 months or more that they’re actively developing it now.

Yeah, despite my attempts to block any MCU rumours from Twitter, I keep seeing posts claiming that it's being developed as a D+ show. I wonder if TV series and/or streaming (so no theatrical release) gets around Universal owning the distribution rights?

Doubt it, since none of the Spider-Man movies are on D+. The cartoons are, but that's it.

Sony have the Spider-Man movie rights (live action and animated), live action TV rights and animation rights for anything over 44 minutes, so Disney can do its Spider-Man cartoons but not if they're an "hour" of TV. It's a lot more than what Universal have kept with Hulk.
As the Spider-Man movies are Sony's they get to shop them around to anyone who wants to pay for the streaming rights, Disney+ could have them but it would cost the going rate.
Disney and Sony seem quite happy to work together, despite the spat that was clearly a negotiating tactic a few years ago where Sony threatened to pull Spider-Man out of the MCU, Sony doing the most successful Marvel games almost certainly keeps Disney happy on that front.

Sony fucking need Disney way more than Disney do in that whole spat. It was incredibly transparent and a a negotiation tactic as you correctly point out.

Just back from MoM - some really neat Raimi touches and when he's allowed to go full tilt it's excellent. Really enjoyed my time with it, however if you miss it on the big screen I'm sure you'll have just as much fun when it's on D+ Yeah the biggest thing to enjoy MoM is enjoying the amount of Evil Dead references and shit that's in it, more so than having seen Wandavision.

Since Bruce Campbell effectively looks like Stan Lee now, maybe they should just get him to grow a mustache and put him in every subsequent marvel movie instead.
Seems better than *paying some company to be able to put a digital character into your movies who doesn't actually need to be in any of your movies*. Which makes no sense, financially or artistically.

It is fucking disgraceful. He was suing them, claiming they forged his signature on a contract, and the cunt described him as a ‘friend’.
I know over the years Lee was shite to coworkers like Ditko. But fuck me, what a shower of cunts.
But I ain’t cancelling my Disney+, or boycotting their films. So I am a corporate, cunt, whore.

I'd actually be amazed if they were going to use a CGI Stan Lee to perform the usual Marvel movie cameos of old; I'd imagine this deal is just so they can put his face up in Disneyworld or, I dunno, have him appear in a cartoon or something. They want to deify him the way they do Walt Disney.
However, I do agree that the allegations made by Lee before his death, all the elder abuse and forging of signatures, makes them sound incredibly dodgy, so Marvel having anything to do with this company leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Still find it funny that one of his best cameos was in a DC movie. "Teen Titans Go! To The Movies" is a great film too, with the definitive Wayne's death scene.

The new daredevil will be the same. But every time they reference something that happened in the non D+ version, someone will turn to the camera and wink.
