I suspect it’ll be a slightly too slow burn for the amount of episodes it has, then pick up during the third quarter before ending on a fairly meh note.

Feel (man) Hulk has been shafted by the MCU - nothing more than a comedic sidekick.
Loved the TV series and have a soft spot Ang Lee's version but modern Hulk leaves me cold.

Isn’t there some rights reason why he can’t have his own movie - which is why they sneak things like Planet Hulk (sort of) into Thor and have him be everybody’s pal for maximum screen time.
Although even then he doesn’t do that much Hulking

I'm fairly sure that Incredible Hulk, while technically an MCU movie, was actually released by Sony. There's also some claptrap about Sony having the marketing or theme park rights to Hulk.
In short - no Hulk film while Sony has those rights

Universal Pictures have distribution rights to Hulk movies, hence no standalone Hulk movies.

In the comics she has to receive a blood transfusion and the only compatible donor is her cousin. I'm wondering if something similar occurs here - maybe the car falling down the cliff at the beginning of the trailer is her car? And then Hulkypoos feels guilty so he's trying to get her to control her powers, or something.
Personally I think it looks great fun. They said from the very beginning this was supposed to be a sitcom, not a standard superhero story, and it's definitely leaning into that. Yes, they could do with giving the CG another pass because there's something a little uncanny about her skin tone (oddly enough, Hulk himself looked fine), but it definitely looked fun and funny and Maslany seemed really good in the title role.

She is but she also looks like she’s made of plasticine so… She’s really weirdly proportioned like they’ve based her frame on someone like a really thin basketball player or something when the other physically large MCU characters have been scaled up in terms of mass not just height. But I guess being gangly might pay off with it being a sitcom rather than an action series with wisecracks |

Banner is still Smart Hulk too. In Shang-Chi he's reverted back to Banner.

That was always the intended resolution, they just moved it from Infinity War to Endgame.
Originally there was a whole Doc Strange sequence where they all face themselves and then Smart Hulk would bust out of the Hulkbuster when fighting Thanos' bois at the end of the movie, but they rejigged it all as they didn't want a win/wow moment at the point everyone was getting owned. It just kind of shits on the whole stubborn Hulk thing as it doesn't give it any direct resolution.
In Endgame instead he explains that he stopped treating Hulk as a disease to be rid of and instead saw him as the saviour, spent 18 months in a lab and Smart Hulk was the result.
