I doubt theyād tease Blade in a PG movie then make his movie R.
I also think the success of Deadpool 3 will have an impact on Disneyās willingness to R with other appropriate properties, but it will be a hard sell. I canāt see Daredevil or Punisher being remotely as good under Disney as the Netflix stuff. Look at how fucked Kingpin was in Hawkeye.

Although it would be fun to see those cartoon tracksuit baddies try to take on Daredevil in a real fight, in a hallway.

The Batman (as in the film) is pretty much the same tone as the Netflix series and that's a PG-13 in the States, so they probably could do something that felt tougher and grittier. It wouldn't quite be the Punisher's prison fight from Daredevil 2, but if they wanted to they could keep it rougher.
I think the problem they have is if they want these characters knocking around with each other, they probably don't want to segment their audience too much by having characters and stories that Little Johnny in his Iron Man pyjamas can't go see.

I donāt think Disney will ever produce a Marvel series as violent as Daredevil or Punisher. Even with Deadpool the higher rating is mostly to do with the language rather than brutal ārealisticā violence and injury detail (+shagging in Punisherās case)

There's quite a lot of violence in Deadpool. Though it is mainly CG. And the humor means that the tone is very different to the netflix ones.
But Dark Knight and the new Batman seem more tonally close to the netflix ones, even though they don't generally show the violence.

The violence in Daredevil was surprising. I think a guy impales his own head on a spike in the first episode, or is it his throat, I forget.
Not just the violence though, the āadult themesā - I mean Kingpin is such a terrifying and complex figure in it Iād not be letting kids watch it.

Heād be fine in the normal Marvel stuff. The ācomplexityā doesnāt seem that much of an issue. Even the violence could be toned down considerably without it making the show worse.

They build out the criminal psychology of the Wilson Fisk and Bullseye characters in a surprisingly deep way. You can dismiss it with your quotation marks, but that just makes it sound like you havenāt seen it or you didnāt understand it.

I just rewatched Iron Man 2 and after 10 mins I was going to post something pithy about Elon Musk's ambitions. I figured it was 12 years old and he must have seen it, became inspired etc.
AND AS IF BY MAGIC "Mr Musk" showed up in a cameo.

Having just watched all the Punisher movies they definitely chose correctly to make the Netflix one MCU canon.

Yeah, the first series is easily, easily the best Punisher done on-screen. Although I have a soft spot for Warzone. It's a shame, as Tom Jane could've been in a much better Punisher film. He was pretty good casting. Jon Bernthal though is pitch perfect. I donāt think Disney will ever produce a Marvel series as violent as Daredevil or Punisher. Even with Deadpool the higher rating is mostly to do with the language rather than brutal ārealisticā violence and injury detail (+shagging in Punisherās case) They've been talking up how violent Moon Knight will be. The (more recent) comics are infamously gruesome. It won't go there, but they've compared the fight scenes to Netflix Daredevil levels of kinetics.

I think the Laundry Day short showed Jane could have done it but Jon Bernthal is untouchable for me

Imagine if they did a Punisher No Way Home with Dolph Lungren (sp?) Thomas Jane, Guy From Rome, and Netflix Guy.
Meme with them pointing guns at each other.

When someone in their 30s or 40s starts (for example) telling me about Twilight or the latest YA series they're reading, I must admit that there's a tiny part of my brain that says "Really? You're still reading this when you're 15+ years over the recommended age level?"
But I try to turn that thought off, because people read/watch/get entertainment from all kinds of things, and it's usually got nothing to do with maturity.
And, like, I still play Nintendo games.

Only the adult Nintendo games like Metroid, mind. None of that kiddy shit.

Some of my favourite novels are children's books, stuff by Robert C. O'Brien or Richard Adams, for example. It all comes down to if it's cynical trash that's been condescendingly designed to appeal to a market share, or if the themes are genuinely expressed, no matter how simple the prose.
To be snarky about it (and a tired comparison), it's why Philip Pullman shits all over J K Rowling.

My favourite fictional thing in the world is Transformers, a cartoon and a comic based on a toy, so I never criticise people for their interests. Even fans of Michael MacIntyre.
But this really is a very childish argument. Thought we'd moved past it really.

All have to say is, based on that gambit, Nick Hilton is a very lazy writer using very tired and outdated stereotypes.

Anyone who has to proclaim how grown up they are and boasts about being in a relationship automatically comes across as a bit desperate and virginy. Well, it's that but also by proclaiming you're in a relationship you're trying to insinuate that you're superior to those who aren't and that anyone who isn't has something wrong with them.
