After being in GOTG and Endgame they’ve got to give us more Howard The Duck.
Wasn’t his swamp a nexus to the multiverse in the comics anyway?

More seriously, there's not much point in remaking Howard the Duck as they'd never top the original.
I assume Sony have the rights to Spider Gwen? That and Miles Morales would seem like the only ones they have worth spinning off to their own series. (geddit!) Not seen No Way Home so I dunno if they've already appeared in live action.
Spinning off Miles might be a bit confusing as it'd mean having 2 sets of spiderman movies running at once, but doing a Spider Gwen movie seems like a no-brainer.
Maybe they are already as I'm not really keeping up with this stuff.

Can’t top a movie in which a woman has sex with an anthropomorphic duck.

Watched The Eternals at the weekend and it’s been a while since I hated a film that much. I’m really not sure what Marvel was going for here but it reminds me of those filler episodes you used to get in things like Lost where they concentrate on the side-adventures of some non-characters and it’s really boring and annoying.
Marvel always had a bit of an impossible task re-igniting things after Endgame and perhaps starting off slow before ramping up again is the right approach. But they need to be a bit careful they don’t lose our interest completely as with the exception of Spider-Man the last few films have been a big dip.

I think, ironically since I always moan about how boring the TV shows are, that 'whodunnit?' plot would have probably worked better as a series. The eternals run they kind of cribbed also has them all losing their memories and rediscvering who they are and its fairly interesting. Obviously, they would also need to get someone in to direct the episodes who wasnt drunk and gave a shit.
It is weird. Its absolutely terrible which is partly the fault of the kind of boring source but it is so badly written and directed that it was always going to be impossible to overcome that. Its by far and away the worst marvel movie.

Don’t forget badly acted too.
And its strange that the events in it should be huge, like second only to Thanos in terms of impact on the Earth but it felt like it was in such a disconnected bubble that it almost wasn’t happening on the same Earth or in the same universe as the previous 20+ films.

But filling it with shitty TV actors and b-list proper actors is always going to result in shitty acting. They obviously had no intention of it being good.

Yeah, that was the crazy part. A half aborted stone giant now sticks out of the planet and a space monster appeared near the moon. It kind of reminded me of this:

Oh and the references to DC characters was really weird and jarring.

I can see why the Irish guy got cast in the Green Knight. Hes a weird, unsettling character. I absolutely cannot understand how he got through the first round of auditions for a main part in a marvel movie.

He should have stolen the show but yeah, awful direction and casting.

Seeing Miss America, America Chavez in the trailer is pretty damned cool. Wonder if they'll keep her in the current universe, what with there already being Cap and Cap Jr in Falcon and Bucky. And the young kid - what's his name, The Patriot? - who shows up in FAWS. Isiah Bradley's grandson? I'm terrible with their names, I've not read the Young Avengers comics! Anyway, there are a lot of Captain America-adjacent characters in the MCU. Also, Eternals fucking rocked, get the hell out of here.

Honest Trailers called it Eternal Runtime of the Plotless Grind and it was their best work. I saw it at the cinemas and was glad that I’ll die some day.

I liked Eternals. Perhaps it was because I expected to hate it, but I liked it.
That's all I've got to add.

Loving the teardown of the new poster given there are so many character hints - most definite is one of the shards in the bottom right has a reflection of a little Union Jack on a shield...

That one on the left is the kid from 6th sense. And I think one on the right is Fennic from Boba Fett.

There’s also another Wong to the right.
Which just goes to show two Wongs make it right.

Watching Daredevil the series got me curious about the movie. Drowning Pool and Evanescence both in the same trailer. A hundred cuts a minute. Very 2003.

The extended cut of Daredevil is slightly less terrible, but it still ain't great.

RIP to Michael Clark Duncan too. I thought he was a good choice for Fisk, had the film been better.

I think the main issues were Elektra, Colin Farrell and the dodgy cgi. Elektra got too much screen time and it didn't really make sense that she was a ninja. Bullseye was just a bit of a weird character, and the dodgy cgi Daredevil was almost as bad as the dodgy cgi Blade.
Extended version is better though, but still not as good as Spiderman 1.
