That looks ace! Big fan of Oscar Isaac. His accent is OK - not brilliant, but not terrible either.

It looks good but the spotty accent is going to irritate me.
It's crazy how many British actors they get to pretend they're American in these things and then when a British character finally comes along they use an American.

I rewatched it. He has like 5 lines in the trailer, and they are easily consistent to a be believable London character. It's no dick van dyke. What are you in about? Is there another trailer? They are absolutely not believable - they sound obviously fake (and there's more than enough in the trailer to get it), because the accent just isn't consistent and sounds like someone putting on a English accent and unable to decide exactly which. Where are you from? I'm a Londoner born in Hackney, note, so maybe I'm more sensitive to London accents being screwed up than others. It's about 60% of a Dick Van Dyke - so yeah, nowhere near as bad, but it's bad. Worse than usual for an American actor attempting a British accent in the modern day. I guess it's revenge for Tom Holland totally screwing up his Queens (NY location) accent lol - I didn't even realize he was attempting a Queens accent but apparently he is as Spidey (I though he was just doing "American" in a not-great way), but apparently New Yorkers are horrified by it.

To be fair the character, originally, is a New Yorker, it's just that personality who is British, so I can see using an American. You know who is British though? Blade. And they're certainly using an American for him (Mahershala Ali - so a pretty good actor at least). I suspect they'll retcon him to being American like the 1998 movie Blade though, which is fine.

Are accents the thing we're mad about today because someone needs to have a word with Keanu Reeves.

Tom Hardy's already cracked that. Trailer looks great, tbh.

Are accents the thing we're mad about today because someone needs to have a word with Keanu Reeves. Keanu does accents? I thought he just did Keanu-voice? Either way he is a good boy and we love him so there will be no criticism. Still dreading the seemingly-inevitable day when it turns out Keanu molested a bus full of nuns or something though. Honestly if Oscar Isaac was just using his normal voice for that personality I wouldn't even have cared, but it's such a dodgy accent it's actively off-putting. Like, just don't do an accent - there are loads of Americans (and actually a surprising number of Latin Americans) in London!

Have you never seen Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula? Accents all over the place in that bad boy.

We've already heard him speak and he's American. I still haven't finished slogging through Eternals so didn't know, but yeah it is. It's probably for the best, as hilarious as 1930s working class London Blade might be.

Er... point of order: Dracula is amazing It is many things, but I've got to say 'amazing' isn't one of the words I would use to describe the movie as whole. It's fucking bizarre, with a lot of love poured into, extremely campy but also very sincere at the same time. Hmm, maybe it is amazing.

Still think you are hearing things. Born in Scotland, live in Brixton, have lived in Notting hill, also lived abroad (Netherlands, USA, Japan, Thailand). Have watched a fair amount of EastEnders.

My dad's from Lambeth and I speak fluent Estuary English. Oscar Isaac's accent is fucking horrible.
He's still so hawt tho.

Moon Knight looks great. His accent sounds fine, but I'm not really bothered about shit like that. Apart from Tom Hardy as Bane. That's the worst thing I've ever heard in my life, and it won't be as bad as that.
Nothing will.

Daphne’s brother(s) in Frasier were the worst ever, they seemed to be trying to do an extreme Dick Van Dyke but it might have been deliberate.

Er... point of order: Dracula is amazing Oh it's definitely "amazing", just not really in the "amazingly good" sense of the word. More of "a sight to behold". I remember finding it profoundly unenjoyable (there's a lot of terrible acting, and not just from Keanu), but it's certainly remarkable in terms of its vision.

You sure? I’ve only ever seen praise for his Spidey work. Just had a quick google: the articles and briefly looking through a Reddit thread seems back that up.
