I do all my gaming and watching sci-fi between 10-midnight usually.
Working from home has helped too.

Same, but I need to start at around 8 from now on. Beginning films at 10 almost always means I'm going to fall asleep 30 minutes into them as the exposition is in the build up phase.

Eternals post-credits spoiler question So is Jon Snow going to be Black Knight or Captain Britain or a villain I don’t remember? Have the reddit detectives worked that one out yet?

Makes sense, I was trying to remember what the mythos of the second one was but its been a long time.
They really are bringing the whole comics universe to life now aren’t they

I’d genuinely forgotten Keaton/Vulture had even happened He's probably the best thing in it. His scene when he drives his daughter and Peter to the prom is fantastic. Not happy that he hasn't returned. Probably the best villain in the entire MCU, for me. Took 30 seconds to understand his motivation and he's so well rounded.

He'll be popping up in Morbius as Adrian Toomes, which raises some questions as it's the wrong universe for the MCU's Vulture.

Where does eternals fit in the MCU timeline?
Can't help but think maybe events and certain new landscape objects maybe would've been mentioned in spiderman.

It apparently happens around the same time, lot going on in 2024 (the "present day" in the MCU).

I doubt even anyone canonically in the same universe with The Eternals would give a shit about it.
I’m going to try watching it again on D+ at some point though, I’ll able to see it more clearly at least than in the cinema.

I've just started a chronological run through of the extended mcu. Kicked it off last night with Captain America. Captain Marvel up next. I expect I'll run out of steam somewhere around Agents of Shield. Assuming I don't, I reckon it will probably take most of the year as Mrs Hermit has no interest outside of the films so I'm planning to do the whole lot in 1 hour/1 episode chunks in the time I stay up after she's fucked off to bed. If you're going to include TV shows as well, you need to put Agent Carter between the Captains. ooh er! /kenneth williams

I noticed my error about an hour after I posted but never did get round to changing it. So yes, Agent Carter next not Captain Marvel.

That one seems further away from the Disney order.

It's pretty similar to the one you posted and they both agree that Agent Carter is up next so it's all good.

Yeah, it's mostly the end that's messed up from the order on D+.

Do Netflix and Inhumans count?
I mean yes because of the multiverse but do you need them in the timeline watch now thats been established?

Netflix, yes, as those are being introduced properly into Disney movies and shows now. Inhumans you could skip - that's dead and I would expect them to effectively reboot it if those characters return. To be honest, I think AoS is probably the same. It tried to keep up with the movies for a while but nothing from the show ever came back into them. Same with Cloak & Dagger and Runaways.

I miss Cloak & Dagger. I heard they showed up in Runaways, but I got bored of that long before that point. Not sure how a show with a fucking pet velociraptor ended up so dull.

This was our viewing order for the recent Infinity Saga rewatch (movies only), optimised for the best flow rather than strict chronology: Part 1- Iron Man
- Iron Man 2
- The Incredible Hulk (OK to be honest we didn't watch it)
- Thor
- Captain America: The First Avenger
- The Avengers
Part 2- Thor: The Dark World
- Iron Man 3
- Captain America: The Winter Soldier
- Guardians of the Galaxy
- Guardians of the Galaxy 2
- Avengers: Age of Ultron
- Ant-Man
- Captain America: Civil War
Part 3- Black Panther
- Black Widow (without the first 30 seconds, without post-credits scene, spoilers for Endgame)
- Spider-Man: Homecoming
- Captain Marvel (without mid-credits scene, spoilers for Infinity War)
- Doctor Strange
- Ant-Man and the Wasp (without mid-credits scene, spoilers for Infinity War)
- Thor: Ragnarok
Finale- Avengers: Infinity War
- Avengers: Endgame
- Spider-Man: Far From Home (not really part of the Infinity Saga, but serves as some kind of epilogue)
Some notes: - Spoiler warnings are obviously only for those watching these for the first time.
- Yes, Captain Marvel and Captain America take place earlier, but Iron-Man is the proper kick-off for the MCU, and the end of Captain America 1 leads perfectly into Avengers 1. And the backstory of Fury in Captain Marvel is more interesting after you get to know him over the course of multiple movies IMO.
- You could watch both GotG at any point before Infinity War, but at the end of Ultron Thor says four Infinity stones have shown up recently, which only makes sense if you've seen GotG. But you could put the earlier, but not earlier than Avengers 1 as that first phase should be watched uninterrupted.
- The order in Part 3 is a bit difficult. Black Panther follows most naturally after Civil War, and the ending of Ragnarok is the beginning of Infinity War, so those are set as the beginning and end. The rest? Meh.

I miss Cloak & Dagger. I heard they showed up in Runaways, but I got bored of that long before that point. Not sure how a show with a fucking pet velociraptor ended up so dull. Cloak and Dagger was legit awesome, with characters who actually had personalities and behaved like people and there was real warmth and chemistry with the leads, too. Runaways was indeed a total snooze, and I was surprised that it kept getting positive reviews, because it was fundamentally not a very watchable show. A lot of the characters were just not very likeable or relatable (especially the parents, who got a lot of screentime and some of the drama relied on there being some sympathy for them, which was unearned), and the plots were overcomplicated and not very plausible even by superhero standards. Also it took bizarrely long before they even, well, ran away. Astonishing that it got three seasons, honestly.

Is there a clear order for mixing and matching the Netflix seasons or should I just go full series ?

Netflix series was pretty much released chronologically, so feel free to just stick to release order there.

Yeah. They are all interconnected to some degree so you should watch them in release order.

Does that work out as a couple of Daredevil, then one of another then back to DD, then a couple of others and Defenders at the end?

Unless someone puts a gun to your head and forces you to watch Inhumans don't go anywhere near it, truly dreadful.
Netflix stuff, is partially at least and possibly more, getting rolled into the MCU.

Daredevil, Season 1 Jessica Jones, Season 1 Daredevil, Season 2 Luke Cage, Season 1 Iron Fist, Season 1 The Defenders, Limited Series The Punisher, Season 1 Jessica Jones, Season 2 Luke Cage, Season 2 Iron Fist, Season 2 Daredevil, Season 3 The Punisher, Season 2 Jessica Jones, Season 3
I think the only ones that really matter for the MCU right now are the DD and, less so, Pun series. Iron Fist certainly isn’t coming back, and nothing has been mentioned about JJ or LC.

I watched the first episode which was just laughable. If you have to shave medusas hair in the first episode to save on the effects budget, you probably should rethink what you’re doing.
