Still think they made a big mistake by not taking a break post Endgame. They could have done the odd TV series, maybe a couple a year, and I expect Sony would still want to be doing Tom Holland Spider-Man films, but just had a pause for a few years of Marvel productions on the big screen. If around about now they had of been putting out the start of a new MCU phase, I'm sure anticipation would have been massive. I expect not dividing attention between the big screen and small screen would have improved their Disney+ output too.
Instead, they just plodded along with non-stop releases (broken up slightly by pandemic issues) to the point that no one really cares anymore. As already mentioned many times, I still enjoy the Marvel films and I'm going to see each of them when they come out, but I can't imagine anyone being evenly mildly excited about each new entry. It just feels like a convey belt, both for us as viewers and I'm sure for the studio as well.

Those texts make him sound like an unhinged, deluded prick. Good riddance.

I remember having a long discussion somewhere (here, or the old place?) about what they'd do post-Endgame.
Would they take it darker and more gritty like the Netflix shows, or take a break and come back with a bunch of new characters like the X-Men, or ....
Turned out the answer was that they'd just carry on as before. But with more TV shows.
TBF, the pandemic did mess up their plans and timing, but I do feel like they could've done with doing something to freshen things up a bit.

I'd not really paid any attention to the evidence that was presented but seeing the CCTV footage of him shoving his then girlfriend into a car and she clearly hits her head made the conviction fairly open and shut really.
What a cunt.

What a cunt. I thought that was the part that they sided with him, as he was trying to get away from her?

He got out of the car to leave her and she got out to follow him, and he pushed her back telling her to leave him alone or something. The driver confirmed it. I don’t know what it was that he was actually charged for. There were four accusations and they got him on two of them.

Looks like he tried to throw her back into the car. But then runs away from her.

Tweet mentions mainstream media and random words in caps.
Normal for twitter.

Yeah I couldn't find a tweet that just showed the footage. All just some nonsense message to go with it.

First episode of season 2 of "What if...?" is out and it's just okay, fairly obviously inspired by Blade Runner and other Cyberpunk media. How it looks and the acting is good but the writing and plot? Hmmm. Glad they're rolling them out daily so things can only get better from a rather tepid start.

I enjoyed the first series but apart from zombies and Doc Strange my impression is that it was mostly “what if this character was actually that one” rather than anything too ambitious

Yikes these are bad so far. I wonder if they will blame "superhero fatigue" on this too.

Only one I've not really thought much of was the first one, today's is very daft, the actor playing Tony is doing a remarkable job in sounding like RDJ.
First one with a mid credits scene.

Well I continue to enjoy them (except the first one) if today's episode wasn't inspired by Prey I'll be a tad surprised. An episode that is almost entirely in Mohawk and Spanish and dealing with the Tesseract, Ragnarok and the Conquistadors pillaging America (in this universe Spain obviously went far further North than in ours) and did a good job. A completely new character for What If...? is change too.

The Echo trailers feel very Netflix era Marvel.
And it looks like it was shot on real sets with actual stunt work too.
I do like that drier more realistic presentation in the MCU.

Is this the first time any Netflix produced footage has been use for MCU promotional stuff? Echo really does look like a continuation of that, it's looking a lot better than I expected.

It seems weird that they're doing it with Echo, and not with Daredevil. (as far as I know since She-Hulk implied they were going with a more MCU-style daredevil.)

They are supposed to be doing it with Daredevil, in his new Born Again series, which will essentially be DD S4. They’ve now confirmed that all of the Netflix shows are cannon, and are seemingly continuing them in various ways.

Haven't they just scrapped all the work on Daredevil? Yeah. Got rid of the showrunner too I believe. I guess they started paying attention to how stuff was being made after Secret Invasion shat the bed.

All that work, like tears in the rain... By all accounts it was a procedural courtroom drama and there wasn't even a series bible.

Hopefully they scrapped the vomit colored suit.
TBH though I just want them to bring back Jessica, and then they can do whatever they want with all the other characters.
