Erm that sounded disappointing but just checked and there are free levels - e.g. you get 100 credits at level 2 without the season pass.
Edit: oh wait, the ranked rewards aren't free now. That is disappointing.
Actually double edit - seems they are unlocked after you play 10 games in the season, so still free!

There are free levels, they are denoted as free in the list. There needs to be some incentive to play otherwise you would hardly increase rank without money.

I only just registered the token shop in the shop page. Can someone explain that to me as the game isn’t especially clear… how do you get tokens?

You should get 3000 tokens when you reach collector level 500 and can see the shop. You then have a chance to get more tokens in caches and reserves.

Oh my shit, Lamentis-1 is nearly always a win condition for my control draw deck. If I have the right cards when it reveals then it's a snap all day long.
In fact, if your opponent starts dropping discard cards, chances are you've won so just snap.

There is also an even to register for and unless you do you're not earning 'discs' to spin. Every cube you win is a disc to spin but you have to keep checking back in to spin them as you can only bank so many.
Spin enough collectively and we fill a hype meter and unlock shit. The hype meter is hardly moving cos as I said, the event is a confusing as shit
Also, if you have gamit or rogue you double discs

Yeah it's a fairly pants addition to the game. Doesn't need it.

I didn’t see the point in Kingpin (if a card moves here on turn 6, destroy it) until I saw it paired with Magneto (move all opposing 3- and 4- cost cards to this location). Ouch.
Edit- decent counter to Heimdall too I guess…

Downloaded this on my phone today as my stitched up thumb is preventing me from 'proper' gaming and I'm really enjoying this. I'm a lapsed Hearthstone player so shouldn't have been surprised really.
Only an hour in, and still finding my way, but just had a 7 game winning streak, and even losing doesn't annoy me anywhere near as much as it does in other games of this type.

Quite. Say that when you have made your slow careful way up the ladder to level 59.7 Just need four points to make 60 so you snap. Then the other fucker snaps as well, drops a Heimdall or a killmonger or a shanghai chi and you die and drop back to 58.9. Then it sinks in you have to have 10 games of cautious no snapping and will take ages. Then say you don't mind losing. Then lose again on a snap and drop to 58.1. It is EVIL! |

Gone from 31 up to 46 and back down to 34 all in one night. Drives you nuts I tells ya. So many patriot decks at the moment. If I see that and mystique come out, I'm outta there. |

Yeah that's good advice, don't be afraid to retreat.
I had a game yesterday where my opponent had Thanos in his deck. They played 4 of the stones in the first three rounds.
I was going to give it a go and see how it played out but then the danger room location destroyed both of the cards I put down.
I made a hasty retreat at that point.
I'm currently using a move deck and really enjoying it.

It's amazing how good movement is still, I finished off with that last night and climbed back up to 39.
Since getting Wong I've been trying him out (which is where I lost all my games) and I'm struggling with it. He feels like "the" win condition at the moment and your opponent sees it coming a mile off. Will help if I get something other than ironheart or white Tiger in there I think.
My controldino has been my staple with mystique for a late game double/triple Dino combo. Swapped her out for lockjaw, with potential to RnG big numbers out early or retrigger draw cards to buff the collector.

I just discovered that Arnim Zola doesn't just copy Dead Pool, but also returns him to your hand at twice power. Hard to take advantage of, but if you can get an early Zola or turn 7 it can be pretty funny.
