Arnim Zola has been my MVP in general purpose decks. Great synergies all over the shop. Keeps the opponent guessing too. I like to mass big hitters and then Zola them to the other lanes. Thanks for the different viewpoint. I suppose the classic Black Panther then Zola combo would work, hopefully buffed by whatever else I have. I don't know why I'm agonising over this so much! |

I have Zola but not been using him. My patriot got me to 67 without mystique who still ignoring me. However I have recently had a massive tilt and at 62. Hit a real wall against some heavy hitting decks.
Might mix it up a bit and try Zola out.
I have she hulk / Zola/ wong / lock jaw / magneto all desirable cards I haven't really been using.

I'm not really a rank chaser, I think I set 50 as this seasons goal and I'd got it. I'm all about filling the collection and then I'll start pushing a bit more.
I've got to 51 a couple of weeks back and floated back down to like 43 so I was happy with doing missions etc.
I've finally got patriot so I thought I'd have a go with him. There is no fucking wonder everyone and his dog is running decks around this card. It's literally stealing cubes at this point. I haven't lost a match in 12 straight and I'm up to 53

I came across a Patriot deck on the Facebook group that's quite good.
Majik, then Onslaught.
Turn 7, mystique copies Onslaught and then patriot in the same lane or another card if you have already played patriot.
It has boosted my cards higher than they have been using my previous Patriot deck but just is a little more involved.

I've never really got on with Patriot decks, a bit of a let down because I thought it would be a natural evolution from my Zoo deck which I still enjoy. Turns out it's Beast which is the next step. Earlier I snapped on someone after drawing Giganto for free; they then proceded to Wong / Mystique / Scorpion. My last draw was Nightcrawler for one and every other card in my hand was negative power  |

It would be cool if this game had a way you could trade variants with friends. Obviously only cards you already possess, but say I wanted a savage land variant of something and was willing to trade some chibi version of Vision or something.

Dracula discard decks are wrecking me. Seen a few "acid rain" decks which are sometimes lethal. |

I haven’t played the ranking game just yet. Peaked at mid 40s. Too busy doing missions and unlocking cards. However I’m now at the point where I think I have enough to give it a good crack. Might do as mentioned above and aim for 50 and see what happens. Depends on the season pass. I don’t play enough to finish those missions as well as going for ranks.  |

Tbh any way of trading cards in general would be cool, e.g. there are some desirable cards that I haven't used yet that I'd be happy to trade for something I need for a certain deck. Not sure if it's feasible though and there would have to be limits on it I guess.
As for Arnim Zola, I was using him a couple of weeks ago on my discard deck just to mix things up a bit - great when the normal discard strategy hasn't panned out, or I just wanted to surprise my opponent.
Edit: Also, I'm all about the cubes now. Don't really care much about upgrading and unlocking new cards until I try a new deck (which I probably will once I get Patriot).

My main desire to get infinite rank is from what I understand you don't drop 30 at the end of the season. So as long as you maintain it you will get a load of free bonus items beginning of every season. Including some decent gold and credits.

Yeah I can imagine it's not healthy. I don't know how viable it would be either without the season pass cards. It probably can be done but you would be crawling. But once it's done it's done.
I will push for it but I personally feel the 30 level drop is too much.

Though I guess it ensures people keep playing every month to try and not lose too much progress, which is their intention. |

Much as I dislike it also, it does result in a zen moment about a week from the end of the season where you look at your rank and go "aaaah, fuck it - let's experiment" because you're getting dumped back anyways you might as well cut loose and just mess about. That's my, very noob-centric, experience anyways. |

If you do manage to get to infinite, your baseline for that season jumps to 100 and you can't fall lower till the next reset |

I’m guessing if you hit a benchmark like, say, 80 but then drop to 70 the game resets you based on the highest point you reached and would drop you to 50?

Nah it drops you based on your rank at the time of the reset. E.g. if you went over 70 but still finished the season on 69.9 cubes, you'll drop down to 30.

Yeah but I think once you get to infinate you don't drop the 30. So stay at 100.
I've crashed to 60 so staying put till new season haha

Got up to 61 at one point, but down to 53 now, mainly through trying new cards. Recently got Spiderman and he can be a lot of fun, but not got a balanced deck for him yet.
Arnim Zola is definitely a good one to have, works wonders in my Jubilee deck with a lot of other heavy hitters.

Everybody drops 30 ranks at seasons end, even Infinite. Infinite does have a rank floor that you cannot drop below 100 in a season once you get Infinite.
The only thing preventing anyone from reaching Infinite is the amount of time it takes to reach it. Sane people will spread the time over several seasons incrementally going up in rank.
