I've dropped down to rank 10 because reasons and I was expecting oddness from bots but some of these are clearly just new players feeling their way (could just be thick tho, don't want to misjudge).
I'm back up to 25 and progressing with my control deck. I just want to try out as many cards as possible and expand my collection so rank is sort of a secondary stretch goal. Aiming for platinum this season.

So in terms of "skill level" is the matchmaking based on collection level or cube level? As far as we know, matchmaking is based on 3 factors: collection level, current season rank, and a hidden MMR that is based on your total play history over all the seasons. |

It's collection level, if you don't advance to a particular pool you will never play anyone in that pool.

Man I love my Dracula deck, it can be a little bit random but it's so much fun, especially with Lockjaw shenanigans. Just need Ghost Rider for my Hela deck now.

Really hard to not use my Dracula deck, it’s so fun and effective. Pretty easy to nope out of when you don’t draw the cards needed. Really want to add Gambit and Moon Knight. |

Making my slow and steady climb to 30 now. The number of cubes I eek out because of a 1 or 2 power win is amazing.

I'm being super conservative for when I snap and it seems to be working. I'm pool 2 and my moon girl/Dino combo serving me well still.
Love the Dino 1-2 punch on turns 5 and 6

Basically Moon Knight looks cooler. I feel like Gambit is just a more aggressive version of sword master, and probably better with Lockjaw. Current deck: Blade Morbius Swarm Colleen Wing Lockjaw Lady Sif Black Cat Sword Master Dracula Enchantress Apocalypse America Chavez Plenty of cards in there that I feel can be upgraded. |

I don't have Black Cat (I've just pinned her in my shop though, should help to have an auto discard) and I don't have Enchantress in my deck. Are you doing something specific with her, or is it just to block your opponents?
Otherwise I have the same as you with the addition of Hell Cow and Collector. The main problem I have is lots of cards with the same cost, the power curve isn't very good.

Enchantress is to block Wong etc, it has come in handy a few times but I'm ok with not having it, as I either don't get it when needed, or the opponent will retreat when I do use it. Yeah, the power curve is not great, I often don't actually play any cards until turn 4, so end up retreating a lot.

I could put in Ghost Rider as I have it, but I also don't really know why I'd want to bring back a discarded card. I've played against it where they bring back Infinite which is cool.

If it brings back one of your discard cards then it could discard again.
Mine has brought back Helcow which then discarded my last card plus Apoc and then Dracula popped out a bigger Apoc baby at the end.
As with lots of pool 3 stuff, it's situational.

Yeah I see, I use Lockjaw to do the same thing, but its just as random! I use LJ in my Dino deck. Playing fetch with 'draw' cards with a collector and quinjet on the board is quite fun to watch. |

I guess if you 50-50 and hit say Lady Sif instead of Apocalypse, you could Ghost Rider to bring her back. Definitely a good card for Hela, I feel like I would probably just resummon swarm if I tried it here.
I have been thinking about getting some non discards at the low end though, maybe have something to play. I wish I had Psylocke.
I highly recommend Collector, he works well with both Apocalypse and Swarm. I've won a few games where that final discard of Apoc onto Dracula has triggered both Collector and Morbius after all the cards have been played.

Just got stung with a Patriot/Mystique/Blue Marvel/Ultron combo, with Wasp sitting in another slot and Shocker out. Had nothing to counter the ongoing effects.
Think my Destroy deck is about right now having experimented quite a bit since getting Venom. Finding it not the best for the current challenges, but can usually tell by turn 4 how things are going to turn out.

Haha Lockjaw is chaotic fun. I built a deck on a whim today because I was already playing a Dracula deck based on bringing in high cost cards without the disadvantage (Infinaut, Giganto, Crossbones etc). Figured Lockjaw is basically the same mechanic but with the added bonus of getting another card’s On Reveal ability first.
Anyway Lockjaw’s “swap the player card for another” ability pairs well with all the low cost irritating cards like Yondu and Ice Man. Black Widow seems particularly devious.

While I wait for Patrick to turn up, the combo that’s been giving me the most dubs is a high draw deck with a devil dino > mystique finish. With if you can keep drawing cards throughout there’s no real need for Moon Girl.
Tried the same thing with Absorbing Man but it failed for some reason. No idea why.

I thought Absorbing Man could copy Mystique (I was sure it worked once, but I must have imagined it) but it doesn't work unfortunately. Mystique technically has an On Reveal but it's lost once she copies an Ongoing card.

I can optionally switch in The Infinaut at 6 too. It’s optimised for getting four cards in a lane (for Season Pass missions) but I’ve ended up using it as my general purpose deck. Beats most meta decks it comes up against and is mainly default or easily obtainable cards.
