I'd rather Cavill was sticking with the Witcher than going back to Superman that's for sure.
Liam Hemsworth as a replacement is a serious downgrade.

Was only earlier in the week that a former producer said a lot of writers for S1 and 2 were not fans of the books or games. I'm sure it's 90% Superman related, but I have to wonder if Henry is actually ok with the news given the show diverges from the books which he's a big fan of

He's a good Geralt but he's a FANTASTIC Superman.
I'm basically watching the show for him TBH, but his throat's probably grateful that he'll no longer need to grunt his way through dialogue.

Disappointed as I thought Cavill was a great fit.
The Witcher character is a bit one dimensional though so if Liam can bulk up, the fight choreography, costumes and storyline are all on point it could still be good.

FWIW, I thought 2 was much better than 1. Less anthology, more cohesive. Ciri was less of a damsel in it too. |

I reckon he knows where the story is going beyond series 3 and just thought "fuck no". I mean it's not the best written show anyway but as he is a fan of the books and games and a few of the writers (I think) admitting recently to not actually liking the source material he's probably just lost the passion for the role.
I don't see him dropping out just because he's Superman again, maybe he's the new Bond too, but it's just not as simple as being Superman.
