I can well believe that Konami are so incompetent that they managed to take a good game and make it look bad via their marketing, rather than the other way around.

Well one of the trailers for this game is called 'Combat Focus' which didn't give the best impression.
Think SH2 is one of those lightning in a bottle games, a genuine artistic classic, so you had to show early on it was in good hands. I think the recent trailer should have been the approach from the start. There's still aspects from earlier trailers that I don't think gel well, nurses vaulting over low cover, Maria dressing more conservatively etc but guess we'll see. Even something like better quality voice acting isn't necessarily an improvement given the awkward tone in the original helped build that eerie atmosphere

Just watched the trailer from the last page and it actually looks good, strange to say after all the other videos they put out
As always don't pre-order games
I am surprised they seemed to kept Eddie's character intact (it may be different in game on what happens to him and what he does?) But I can see some sites calling "problematic view"

Soundtrack is still so fucking good, man. And looks like they've knocked Eddie out of the park, judging from that. Unhinged.

Reminds me, I started The Room on PS2 a couple of years ago and never finished it. I may mess about with it between now and SH2 dropping. I was going to do a replay of the original SH2 but as I did one last year I think I'll leave it there so it's not too close to the remake.
Not long now. Excited. All the pre-release coverage is quite positive now and I really like what I've seen so far.

That was my intention. I read a little blurb about it, as I've never played it, due to people complaining about how it is shit blah blah blah. Anyway, it read fairly interesting to me. Hopefully it runs when I test it this evening.

It's a decent game. It's just...different. It's definitely the most difficult of the first four games imo.

It's good, interesting. You should play it. The game becomes a big shitty escort quest half way through, which affects the ending, but there's a way to get the good ending anyway just before the end, so keep some saves if you care about that
