Jeff Gertsman and the nextlander guys have never done crossover or reunion (as far as I know) it seems strange as they worked together and got on all those years. Giant bomb is just a name now, can't stand their output since the original staff left

My guess is Jeff got pissed at them forming Nextlander.
Oddly enough Giantbomb and Nextlander did one crossover while he was still with them but he was "out" for the day.
Then after he left they started doing it more often.
I'm fine with the current Giantbomb. The Quicklooks have sadly died and they have leaned into the screaming is hilarious side of things a bit too much.
But Blightclub has bought so many good moments.

I like the Giant Bombcast just fine- it’s not as good as it used to be, but Jan is a good host and I do enjoy some of the stupid repeating bits they do like having a “what have we learned today” section at the end.
My hidden gem podcast is still the NoClip Crewcast though. Proper laugh out loud banter, try the first and last 10 minutes of the latest episode if you want a feel for it.

Nick is suppose to be difficult to work with, I do find frost's "cold takes" a little pretentious but he has always seemed a nice guy on the podcast
Frost has the second highest views on SW, if yahtzee leaves then its over for SW

I know its their job and all but I’m not sure how anyone at Second Wind or the Escapist before that can really pretend that its anything but the Yahtzee show. Without bothering to check the numbers I’d be shocked if anything else (however good it might be) does a quarter of what his reviews do.

On the somewhat plus side I've started subscribing to Edge again. There's some great articles in there. Also they don't seem too far behind new game reviews, which is a bonus.

I'm sat here in my home office looking at all 401 issues, plus specials, collections, etc., filling a couple of Billy bookcases. Some months are variable and I'm still not a fan of the current design - even after some 170+ issues. I much preferred the 'square', art mag form of its 2nd incarnation. Can't stop the sub now though, guessing will keep running until either the mag or I cease to exist! |

I went on ebay a few months back to collect issue 294 for the cover to frame in my office. I just love the art work. I should really try and find a proper print of it.  |

@zissou I often wonder if they are missing a trick by not emulating Rebellion and their on-demand poster prints of 2000ad covers. Granted those are more art-oriented but there are some lovely examples on Edge covers over the years.

I saw the Second Wind response to the Frost video has been to get all the people on the team to write little personal statements about how its not really like what he said and that they actually like their jobs.
I suspect its probably a case of them both being assholes but Nick does seem to do his best to paint himself in the worst light at almost every opportunity.

I agree with what you said about being both arsehats but Nick is worse as likes to act like dick at all times
