Not taking a referee-gifted touchdown is such a weird call.
No FG is a gimme.

Cracking game with such a disappointingly shit finish.
Fair play to the Chiefs though, that defence properly stiffened k.

Happy as I am to see Chiefs win, it was a sour way to end the game. Gotta feel for Hurts, what more could he have done?

They had to rush through the post game because the new Gordon Ramsay competition show is starting. New conspiracy theory - the refs decided the game so they could start the show on time.

As a prior ally to our colonial chums back in the good olโ USA, this sudden abundance of Ramsey-related information has changed everything and convinced me that maybe it actually is hell on earth.

Obviously. Didn't you know, the NFL is up there with the WWE in script writing ? Hence the shit ending, and nobody thrown through a table.
Fuck, if they had Gordon come out at halftime, shouting at Rhianna to "get down from those bloody tables, stupid cow", it would've been memorable at least.

I don't watch a lot of NFL and only saw the first quarter and highlights but it looked like an incredible game. That QB Mahomes made some incredible runs.
Loving also the scrum touchdown, not something I had seen before.

Fell asleep during the halftime show, so caught up this morning. Really good game, despite that weak hold call at the end. The chiefs really stepped up their game in the second half.

As a lifelong Eagles fan, I am not happy with how the refs decided the game in the waning minutes of the game. But as a wise NFL player once said, "We have to play better than the refs ref." and the Eagles definitely did not do that.

Rogers wants to go to the Jets?? That's last weeks news. Chances are he is, as the Packers are fed up with him too, and want Love in to start afresh. Weird thing, is Farve went to the Jets when Rodgers replaced him !

Time to get excited for the new season starting this weekend.
Seems the bookies have the Chiefs and Eagles as favourites again, hard to look past them I guess. It's going to be interesting to see just how much of an impact the Jets will have on things this year though.

I'd like to see the Jets pull something interesting off and go on a run, but also find Rogers a bit annoying. I like the rest of their team. They've got a pretty horrendous schedule though.
Ram's-wise I'm hoping for a season less injury-filled and to see some of the new young players take positive steps forward and the team can build up again. Secretly hoping Puka Nacua blows up big time.

Argh Chiefs play at 1.20 today. Pain. Good to have Redzone back
It is funny how every season seems to have a new host for the NFL show. At least Jason and Osi are constants.

However, none of that stops the fact that Rodgers is an odious human being.

However, none of that stops the fact that Rodgers is an odious human being. Yeah, I dont have as severe a reaction to him as many seem to. He just seems like what I would expect to happen if you were a big thing in this league for a while - self opinionated, aloof and a bit mad. Watching him on Hard Knocks is kind of fascinating to me. I have a friend who is a Packers fan and he seems to detest him too. I just don't have the history with him, I think.

He always had an air of being a very arrogant, self involved person. Like the human equivalent of some kind of sentient toxic slime.
Then the whole anti-vax stuff was enough for me to just really dislike him.

As a long time Packer fan, you liked his work, but you wouldn't be going for drinks afterwards. Especially in the last few years of disappearing up his own ego. It was all the times he'd lose his composure and throw the toys out the pram, strutting around with that clearly visible disjointed frustration with the team, when it was usually with himself etc. Add in the antivax as puddleduck says, and yeah, up there with Djokovic in the way they conducted themselves.
Anyway, after watching the DE/KC highlights there, seems the pre-season hype around the Lions is somewhat justified. Which is great given it's the Lions, and terrible for the division. We usually only have the Vikings to worry about !
