Whatever the result, it's been a smashing game. Trent has been too erratic with deliveries and Robbo wasteful. Not regained the form of a couple of years back. Mane a bit muted today. Need to keep hold of Salah and extend that contract.

The only thing in that article I take issue with is the idea that Gazidis has been successful after leaving. AC Milan fans hate him as much as we came to. And Emery you could argue either way - he's been successful of course, but still wasn't right for Arsenal. Otherwise hard to argue - although the alternative wouldn't have left us in a different place either. |

Newcastle looked in desperate need of a striker yesterday. So many opportunities and none of them fell to a natural goalscorer. We really should have had that one wrapped up long before Watford equalised.
Encouraging that we can create chances though.

Anyone knows if Dakey made the jump over the old forum? He could liven up this thread a bit more Yeah I made it across, but haven't been as active on this forum, not sure why, just different place to visit. Not been about much on here especially the past week due to having a friend who is pretty fucked up mentally and is staying with at mine am currently waiting to hear from him as last I saw was him was him being arrested this morning for criminal damage of his house. (We went to collect some bits from his house, his ex knew we were coming but wouldn't let us in, slammed his fingers in the window, which he then thumped in anger and smashed the glass...) All in all pretty fucked up especially as they have an 8 week old baby. To get back on theme, I Watched yesterday's game and Brentford were great, feel that Liverpool should have won it, but our defence were peculiarly at 6s and 7s and Brentford made the most of what they had so no complaints from me. Top of the league and last team undefeated represents a solid start to the campaign. Also agree this thread has become very united centric, but I guess that just represents the supporter base of this forum... Still though, United's squad is in the best state since late fergie era and you would not know it from all the in fighting. |

I said exactly the same when they beat us. Tough side who should do well if they can maintain that level (which may be tricky once injuries and fatigue hit).
@dakey, that sounds rubbish. Hope you're holding up ok, that's a lot to deal with with everything else going on.

Liverpool give you a chance when they play very dynamically with transitions. It's like playing with eight Steven Gerrards the way they move. I guess you have to credit Brentford for being tactically astute and It might seem a bit naive on Liverpools part, but compared to other top teams, a win for Klopp is a win for football in general. Especially as tactics and strategy at the top sets trends in football. Teams borrow from the best I mean.
