The only thing in that article I take issue with is the idea that Gazidis has been successful after leaving. AC Milan fans hate him as much as we came to. And Emery you could argue either way - he's been successful of course, but still wasn't right for Arsenal. Otherwise hard to argue - although the alternative wouldn't have left us in a different place either. I had the same gut reaction, but purely going on results alone (which is basically what the article says) they have done reasonably well. Of course, scratch the surface and it's equally true that Gazidis wasted years and a chunk of cash making some terrible decisions and was generally responsible for the club losing it's way. Emery was also totally the wrong manager for the club. Too wedded to his own fearful risk averse approach with a squad full of flair players and no discipline that didn't suit that way of playing, even aside from the fact it was the absolute antithesis of what the fans wanted to see in exchange for the highest season tickets in the land. Can't deny his approach works at cash strapped la liga clubs though.

So so happy for Jimenez! Really well taken goal too. 100 times this. Delighted for him. Class goal to hopefully kick him off again.

Great composure and finish, despite some dodgy defending.
Happy with the lineup today. Glad Nuno has learned from the Palace fiasco and been a little more adventurous. Hopefully we can play for more than 30 minutes.
Iām worried thoughā¦.

First of all football is cyclical. United, Liverpool and even Chelsea and City have had sustained periods of 'mediocrity' in very recent years, and the media's response was to rebrand the big four to the big six to allow for it. They couldn't wait for it to go back again. Truth is things can change for both Spurs and Arsenal very quickly. Second fawning over the oil clubs and shitting on the teams attempting to compete in a sustainable way (that doesn't break the rules) isn't a good look. Anyway COYS!

City canāt fill their stadium most weeks and they donāt really have an overseas fan base. Yeah more kids are starting to support them because of their success, but when the success subsides they will be back to being the small premier league club they actually are.
Arsenal and Spurs are both bigger clubs than city when it comes to fanbase. United especially and then Liverpool are in a different league when it comes to fan base.

United just need to employ a decent manager and not try and pretend an ex player who has no pedigree at all is doing a good enough job. Itās just embarrassing to watch
