It's exactly what the Americans do with their sports have every stat under the sun and talk through numbers. It's a little disgusting and I work with numbers on a daily basis.

You must not watch Man Utd when Mctominay and Fred are playing. Or even worse Fred and Matic, the ultimate shit double pivot

Pivot would imply they actually move, so I just find it grossly incorrect.

Whenever I see pivot, all I can see is Ross and his sofa.

In this case pivot means the team pivots to utter shit when the ball is at the feet of those players.

FM at least gave a sense of how difficult football management is, whereas in FIFA you can basically build your own Galacticos and I swear kids think it’s real.

I always felt that FM always captured the drama of a match far better than FIFA or PES too. They’re so sterile and never feel like football but back when I played I definitely had some genuine goal celebrations and heart sinking moments as my coloured circles Pong-ed a white dot around.

I found FM was at its best as text only in the earlier CM games. The match engine ruined the magic a bit as it showed your players doing stupid shit.

Moving to 3d was a mistake but the airhockey table worked a treat for me

Agreed. Text was so good, but the disks were decent.

Watching games or highlights on FM is an absolute joke. Everything looks like nonsense, all the goals are just going through the keeper and stuff. I actually got into FUT for the first time in FIFA 20, so now 'know' about players such as Isak, Atal, Lees Melou, etc because of all the special cards they got. That means they must be great players, right? I can't imagine anybody who isn't a child thinks FUT is anything like managing a team. It's basically just like on FIFA 98 when I was a kid and editing teams to make monster teams.

Best thing Rodrigo’s done all season was not touching that ball. Sexy dummy though.

I wonder which big club ASM will leave us to disappoint at.

Everton or West Ham imo.

I can totally see him in a West Ham shirt.
A couple of years back he’d have underwhelming move to Spurs written all over him.

Nah he's the real deal imo, think he'd do well at one of the top clubs.

He's the type of signing Fergie would have liked.

I'd like him for the sheer unpredictability factor. But that ain't really Arteta's style.

Leicester maybe? Not seen that much of him but he definitely looks top 6 quality from what I’ve seen.
Does he have injury problems though?

I always think he looks absolute class and would surely flourish in a team where there's other similar threats. One on one he's really hard to stop and does seem to have end product.
Does seem to have missed a lot of football although I appreciate some was covid related.

His end product has come on massively. But yeah seems to get quite a few muscle issues. No surprise really given that he seems to constantly moving at 200 mile an hour.

I think he looks quality and in a more attacking team could be a real handful. He always gives us loads of problems when we play Newcastle.

That was absolutely daft by Baptiste. Brentford have been cruising, now all to do.

Arsenal line-up looks as strong - sorry, attacking-biased - as it’ll ever be this season…
Edit, though I suppose Martinelli might add something different to Pepe.
