Grealish was good at Villa because almost everything went through him. That won't be the case at City. Done get me wrong, he’s an extremely good player and he won’t be out of place at City. He’s easily that level. But yeah, he won’t shine in the same way and I suspect his relatively low G/A numbers will get picked up on far more and will become a narrative. Also, he’s always been a bit of a cynical and snide little shit, and again, that’s much more likeable when you’re at an underdog team doing it to the big boys. Those antics will quickly make him hated by most fans now he’s at City. |

I think he’s overrated after shining in a mediocre Villa side and doing crowd pleasing dribbles for a conservative England. He’s not bad but £100m is way over the odds and I’m not sure he’s going to be a difference maker for City the way Sancho could be at United.
If Jack had gone to a Spurs or even an Everton it would have made more sense to me.

I’m absolutely here for Pep and City getting treated like the nothing club with deep pocket bullies they are. Pep is going to meltdown this season and fuck off in the summer. Glorious. As for United, I’m happy for the fans. Nothing like a hero coming back. It won’t be the same and might well be a huge disappointment (it usually is) but who cares. It always feels special. Some very very big personalities and high expectations for little Ole to handle now. Going to be interesting. Henry's return is something I will always cherish. It was short-lived but absolutely glorious. The goal against Leeds was positively orgasmic. |

Although you could argue the same about Saka - but as he proved in the Euros, he's an absolute superstar. |

Wow that Ronaldo situation unfolded much faster than I expected! Would love to be a Utd fan right now. I know Bale wasn’t a roaring success last season, but it was so good to have him back.
In more mundane news, Sissoko has joined Watford. A limited player, no doubt, but did have a couple of good seasons for us and seemed to be a positive influence in the dressing room. Just need to offload Aurier now, and maybe Winks.
Really hope Ndombele stays and knuckles down but it’s hard to see him settling now Sissoko and (probably) Serge are going.
