Thank you Bournemouth. We needed that boost a bit.

Think Henderson might have saved the game using his face.

If the international break wasn’t there to let them get players back I’d be feeling good about City dropping some more points.
Brighton/Spurs/Liverpool their next three fixtures. 2/3 of those away.

Typical Palace game. Creating chances but missing players talented enough to finish the job. Some of our younger players just aren’t ready for the call up.

1st Half, Liverpool were well off it, and Brighton deserved the lead. Pressed in the right areas.
2nd Half, the team and the crowd woke up and responded. Salah was sublime, back to his best of pinning his player back and then that finish was vintage.
Top of the league, and only lost to 3rd placed Forest this season, will take that all day long.

Only seen them against Brighton which was dull and ended in a shitshow so very surprised to see them that high.

Got to respect Forest this season. Seriously impressive. Wood never looked like this when he was up here. Fair play to the lad, he’s in the form of his life.

I remain convinced that the main reason Newcastle bought him that January was so Burnley wouldn’t have him. Not complaining, we stayed up on the last day that season at Burnley’s expense, largely because they lost their main goal scorer for the back half of the season.

I’m pretty sure that’s exactly why Newcastle bought him. Mental of Burnley to sell their to a direct relegation rival. Did they really need £25m in January more than another season of Premier League football?

IIRC he had a release clause, and Newcastle suddenly had a fuckton of cash.

Still stewing about sone of those Palace chances. No other team resembles the Denver Broncos that are given to Homer Simpson by Hank Scorpio as much as this season’s Palace squad. youtu.be/xpOY4u8hL_E?si=sd7CX2SOoqbcOjEe

Did you know man city are unbeaten in both the premier League and champions League for 32 and 27 games respectively. I wonder how long this run can go by simply ignoring the games they were beaten in?

Got to respect Forest this season. Seriously impressive. They're the opposite of West Ham at the moment. Seriously unimpressive. Season is still relatively young but they've been disappointing.

West ham are awful. Got handed a win last week by extremely suspect refereeing but were truly awful. That win looks particularly suspect in light of that Ipswich game, like seriously lol fucking hell pgmol are a joke.

Only seen them against Brighton which was dull and ended in a shitshow so very surprised to see them that high. Apart from us almost nicking the win when down to ten players away from home against a top 8 team you mean? Not sure how a 2-2 is dull either. (I was in the away end, haven't celebrated a goal in a stadium like that late equaliser in literally about 30 years )

Just rewatched the highlights. Mentally we’re done. Pick up a result next weekend, regroup during the international break and go again. This is what title races are. The last few years of City being basically perfect are not normal. I watched the season review of our double in 2002 with my son the other day and the league was littered with these sorts of results.

Pretty shit half all round. I said to my boy before the corner came in, why is no-one protecting Vic from Rogers, it’s obvious he’s going to try and block him. Which does, but Vic still makes the save but he’s there unmarked as there was no one on him. It’s so stupid.
And the less said about our corners at the other end the better. Set pieces are likely to be the difference in these games (as we saw in the Arsenal game).

Was going to say, it was the same as the NLD. Should be standard practice to have a defender trying to protect the keeper and block tue attacker. Rogers is a hell of a player though.

Every team tries to block Vicario and yet we still don't have someone protecting him. Bentancur was doing nothing about 2 feet from him before the corner was taken.
Get in!
