Southampton have been poor.

I'm glad I didn't WhatsApp my brother after the first goal, may not be a working phone for me to message after this first half.

This Southampton team turned us over three times last season, now getting royally tonked by Bournemouth. Really emphasises just how massive the gap between top end Championship and lower mid table PL has managed to become.

To be fair Bournemouth strike me as that kind of team that look great against the teams around them but will struggle to get anything out of the better teams thanks to their style of play.

No, need a few games without him so he sorts his shit out. Would have been good for him and the club.

No real surprise but still would have lost. Doesn't excuse it really though as 1 nil at half time you can't rule out we might have come back. There's no way we could have been as bad anyway

We weren't, at 0-2 with 10 men there was a 10 - 20 min period in the second half where we were the better team and Spurs risked Spursing it up.

Could haves.
We could have been 3 up before the sending off.

And the Arsenal fans aren't even awake yet! 😁

For a long time Man Utd fans have (correctly) wanted their dead wood cleared out and younger more promising players brought in. The club actually did that pretty well this summer, whether ETH gets any credit for that or not. Patience is necessary with a youth focused strategy so it's not unreasonable for Ten Hag to expect further patience.
Admittedly if you are just convinced he's the wrong man for the job, fair enough, no point wasting any more time. However in 'normal' circumstances I'd want to give a manager at least a third of a season when the squad has had significant churn. Haven't you pretty much changed the spine of the team?

I'd have said a season really. And he just won the FA Cup!

I'd have said a season really. And he just won the FA Cup! Look Arsenal fans, if you'd been beaten by Spurs like we were you'd be calling it the end of days. Yes I still want to give him time but I also am fed up of the constant shit. Unlike when Jose lost his job I won't be celebrating ETH losing his job, it'll be like Ole but with less emotion. A sigh that here we go again.

I'd have said a season really. And he just won the FA Cup! Isn’t he the second most trophy winning manager in the top flight behind Pep in the last couple of seasons?

Yeah, I guess so! Arteta has only won one, he's won 2. I think

Well at least the worst united team on record over the last 10 years has won 2 x FA Cups, 2 x League Cups and 1 x Europa League. And its only been 10 years since we won the league.
Arsenal are I think 2 x FA cups in 10 years and 20 years since they won the league...
....then LOL Spurs

For much of the previous decade we were also putting out some of our worst teams on record. Think this is the point really. When we talk about best and worst teams, we're invariably using league form and points as the metric.
League positions and points totals determine if you are any good, Cups are for great days out and treasured memories.
