I pray Timber stays injury free. He's already coming back from a niggle. I'm not convinced he'll be playing 30+ games this season. Pretty common for those coming back from an ACL. Lots of niggles follow as the body adjusts again.

Looks like we can't shift Eddie. Bournemouth have signed someone else.

Brighton aren't messing around. Are they just spending that Caicedo money, or is there some accounting reason for their spending spree? That, and we need to have the spend in this year for accounting reasons as the window is over three years. Plus because the Sky 6 teams have overspent there are better deals to be had. I am expecting a couple more players to be on the way out if the remaining rumoured signings come in Finally, the end of last session showed that our squad wasn’t big enough, we’ve got much better cover now

Spurs have apparently suspended Bissouma for Mondays game for the video of him inhaling laughing gas.

One of the best run clubs in the league, buy them cheap, develop and sell to the big clubs who can't be bothered to do that. They are sitting on piles of cash. Wish my club were as forward thinking Sold the last 2 years JYves Bissouma £30m Marc Cucurella £60m Leandro Trossard £21m Mac Allister - £35m Caicedo £100m Sanchez £25m Undav £26m Gross £7m Bought 8 players this season for £121m Think Minteh is gonna be their next big profit

Only getting £35m for Liverpool doesn’t seem great tbh.

Shut it, you have enough to worry about with your own team

Don’t think there’s a team to worry about anymore, just a billion quid in a bank account and four children in the senior squad!

I feel your pain, we got outplayed by Cambridge Utd on Tuesday and lucked a win, gonna be a long year.
We played Brighton in a friendly this year lost 1-0 at home it was not that close, they are gonna be high pressing demons

A month ago I was absolutely convinced we were going to win the league. First time in my life I’ve actually been optimistic going into a season. Since then we have:
Sold Summerville (the best player in the league) Sold Rutter (the second best player in the league) Sold Gray (the best young player in the league) Sold Kamara (made 42 starts last season)
Played two games at home and conceded six goals.
We’ve now brought in around £140m, the highest of any team in Europe so far this window (for a second tier side is mental) and our key signing has been Joe Rothwell on loan from Bournemouth reserves.
Not a clue what’s going on. Asset stripping before selling to Red Bull? Certainly doesn’t seem like the owners have any particular desire to get promoted.

Only positive I can see from this is that it might push Gray into the frame a little more quickly as he has looked excellent in pre-season

You never know when your first, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth choice goalkeepers might all be injured.

I wonder if they're allowed to be with and train with the first team, or if they're banished like the likes of academy graduates such as Gallagher and Chalobah.

Getting a strong sense that if Newcastle aren’t off to a flyer that Howe will be fighting the chop by Halloween and gone before Christmas.

I'm expecting Newcastle and Villa to swap places this year. Villa may struggle a bit with the extra European games and Newcastle should keep more players fit and be able to play that high intensity style they were doing in Howe's first season.

Madness. Really not convinced by Villa's transfer business so far either, but plenty of time to go and Emery knows what he's doing.
