Love that Dyche is about 90% of that video.

Hmm. According to the BBC Palace beating Liverpool wasn’t one of the ten games that decided the season. Now where that Bullshit thread I made and quickly forgot about…

Who gives a shit if it’s a handball anyway. Doesn’t change anything what happened today.

It's embarrassing that Arsenal are forced to play against teams like Everton. Can only apologise for wasting their time.

My take on the 'handball' was that Oliver thought it shouldn't have been referred to him as it wasn't 'directly leading to the goal', and saw it as accidental handball at the time.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54321867 - The hand/arm is clearly away from the body and outside the "body line" ❌
- The player clearly leans into the path of the ball. ✅
- The ball travels some distance. ✅
- The ball touches a hand/arm that is clearly raised above the shoulder. ❌
- The player falls and the hand/arm is extended laterally or vertically away from the body. ❌
- A deflection clearly makes no difference to the ball touching a hand/arm that is clearly extended away from the body and/or above the shoulder. ❌
- Immediately after touching the ball with the arm, even accidentally, the player scores a goal or creates a goal-scoring opportunity. ❌

Based on the above, Michael Oliver got it right and it's one of those instances of the rules themselves feeling unsatisfactory (to many).
The free kick Everton scored from was pretty soft and was taken about 6-7 yards closer to the goal than where the foul was actually committed so you could argue we each got an assist from the officials.

I love the collective shrug that a club have won the league 4 times in a row, and we're arguing the toss about a borderline decision in an ultimately irrelevant game. That's how irrelevant City are yo anyone else other than their fans.

The fact that their main and only derby rivals don't reciprocate that sentiment kind of says it all about their standing in football culture.
Pep's probably the best manager of my lifetime, but I just can't respect anything City as a club achieve. He's only there because of the systematic financial cheating in the first place.
Chelsea are the same. If one of those clubs win it's a failing of the system rather than your team, so it's easy to quickly move on.

I’d say a goal scoring opportunity came pretty soon after, so that’s at least 3 points to disallow it on!

Like saying Lance Armstrong has more Tour de France wins than Chris Froome really.

It’s the fact that Fred is still betting that impresses me.
Given that if you bet long enough the house always wins Fred must have the luck of the Irish.

Bit torn on whether to hope Saka's injury is just bad enough to prevent him from going. He could really do with a rest

So, how long to the Euros? Euro 2024 starts on Saturday 14th June and finishes on Sunday 14th July. Th'Olympics starts on Friday 26th July and finishes on Sunday 11th August. The EPL starts back on Saturday 17th August. Best use those 4 weeks before the Euros start to get all the chores and odd jobs around the house boxed off.

Probably going to win the FA Cup again too and we'll all have another chance to shrug and wait for the court date.
