I’m surprised United didn’t blow a load trying to sign Rice to sit in the middle Jesse and £40m on deadline day. Definitely need some change in the DM spots. Matic and Fred have shockers too regularly. |

Well, this was entirely predictable. Tempted to turn this off and just ignore football till September as it's hard to envisage getting any kind of result today or next week.
Mari and Cedric are shit, but probably also the best we've got available in those positions right now, which says it all really. Both really epitomise the insanity of some of our transfer business. Took both on loan initially, and they looked bang average from the get-go, and then we just signed them on permanent deals anyway.
It's pathetically easy to get behind our defence and cut it back, and City are masters of this.
We do look a bit more balanced this game, but still, the only threat are crosses from the left that never seem to find an Arsenal player because we don't have strikers like Lukaku who thrive on that sort of service. Makes no sense. I doubt we'll even score this month and that is much more of a worry than losing three consecutive matches.
Those Norwich and Burnley games will be must-win.

Crazy to think we deservedly beat them twice last year. At least it shows how fast things can turn around... We only need a ruthless Russian oligarch to come in, sack the manager, appoint a better one and sign a £100m striker and we'll be right there.
