He needs to get them out of their habit of going back to the midfield when they are out wide. Just put the ball in the box and try and create something. We almost never create a chance after playing it back so you may as well put the ball in the box.

Are City going to absolutely pump Liverpool next week then walk the title again to teach us all a lesson for this last few weeks of hope?

This is definitely karma for taking too much pleasure in last night.

Rash has been dreadful barring the first 2 minutes.
Stuff like what he did 30 seconds ago absolutely boils my piss. That was a very promising position. Terrible layoff, lose the ball.

And again, he's making other players look like they're playing dreadful passes until you see him amble into picture behind the Ipswich player who's picking up the ball easily.
That's just basic effort.
Edit; anyway barring some decent early moves from the wing back areas it's pretty much same old same old so far.
Dalot has been trying this first time ball inside that came off in the first half once or twice but not again since.

And it's still early days but my word zirkzee looks more of a turkey every time I see him play.
Sometimes you see a little sight of something but so many poor touches and wayward passes

Lisan al Gaib looks like he is regretting everything.

Absolute rubbish.
Top three worst performance this season (just behind pool and spurs). Flat, no threat... so that's a great start.

Maz, Diallo and Onana were worthy, the rest weren’t really.

Well a lot of the squad have been off on an international break and the rest have had 5 days holiday.
Let's give him a bit of a chance before moaning too much eh.
First job is teaching the wide players to attack the fullback or put a cross in rather than playing back to the defence.

Can’t believe Casemiro went off for ugarte and he kept Erickson on. It’s blatantly obvious that Casemiro offers more creatively and going forward when he plays with ugarte. I knew it would be a shit show with that sub. And that was even before he brought the worlds worst footballer Zikzee on.

We weren't expecting much difference though, surely?
He's had two training sessions.

Shouldn't need to be said, but it's far far too early to make judgement calls now. Amorim's gonna be switching up formations and line ups all season to see what works.

Well the point of highest optimism wasn’t before a ball was kicked, but not far off it.
A lot of work to be done.

He'll get plenty of time but the nature of that performance was worse than most of our other performances this season including being miles below the last game Eth managed. We just happened not to get a dodgy calls against us today.
Of course there's loads of work to do but you'd have hoped to maybe get a win against a promoted side to start off the new managers reign. No discernable boost whatsoever.

Yeah it will take a while to implement his tactics with any kind of quality. It might not even happen with some of the fraudsters in the side.
Everyone always talks about the Man United DNA. Our DNA for so long has been boring side to side passing, from manager to manager. Could do nothing to break down Ipswich today. Instead of making a run, taking on a player, making an incisive pass, putting in a dangerous cross... we just pass it back and restart our side to side passing for another 5 minutes. Repeat for 90 mins.
With a fully fit squad soon I think he will have better opportunities to find the right players for the right places in his setup.

OK, I'm pretty sure I can now say Cooper is shit for Leicester. Happy now? Got a feeling he lost the dressing room:

I don’t think anybody is complaining about Amorim, more the players. Yes there are factors like the break and stuff that won’t have affected Ipswich the same but when all is said and done, you have to be disappointed that Manchester United nearly get put to the sword by somebody like Ipswich. These are some of the highest paid players in the world. What happened reflects the reality of course but still.

Watch his post match interview, he said it's important to change the way they play. They could be left to play the way they are comfortable but in a years time the exact same problems will exist. He said you could see them overthinking everything and that caused the problems.
Was a really good interview, until Ed Sheeran showed up.
