Mrs. M. would like the ten year old to watch it, as she's off school (obviously) and it is a historical moment. Mrs. M. is at work until 15:00 or so, and is therefore leaving it to me to administer proceedings. I work from home, in the main living area of the house, and intend to work today, so I might try to get the little 'un to watch it in her room. Honestly, it just sounds like the sort of thing I don't want to subject a young child to, particularly on her own. Hmmm... Especially when they play Prince Andrew subliminal messages.

Think we are going for a walk. No doubt we'll see some of it via a zoetrope of front room windows as we walk through the village.

Maybe switch over when she reanimates and consumes the sacrifice.
It's a lot of pomp and ceremony but I think your wife is right it's also a historical moment. Probably bore a 10 year old but can't see any harm in giving them the option and let them make their own mind up about it.

Cold War Steve nails it as always. Just misses the opportunity to have Pritti Patel as a Marshall:

Yeah, the child does have a bit of genuine interest, and has been independently watching the news for the last twenty minutes or so, catching up with it all, so I’ve mentioned her watching some more of it in her room, and she’s quite happy.

It’s more expensive than petrol, Queen is saving you money by making you eat dry cornflakes.

Wife seems keen on our 6 and 3 year olds watching it and I have no idea why. I think she thinks it’s ‘a moment of history’ so they should see it.
I got a dirty look when I said they can read about it on Wikipedia or see it on YouTube when they’re older.

I wasn't making it up. www.stewartlee.co.uk/online-critiques/“Im sorry stewart lee fans but his material is lazy, repitive, dirivative and aimed squarely at the sychophants.” dufftownallan, eurogamer.com “I can’t stand his smuggy smug bastard smugface.” PES Fanboy, eurogamer.com “A heckler could destroy his entire act simply by shouting “we get the fucking picture” from the back of the room in the first 5 minutes.” Dirtbox, eurogamer.com Dunno why he picked me out, I quite like his comedy. Anyway, back to the previously scheduled mourning.
He was also at Oxford in the same college...hall? at the same time as Otto. The guy must have been following him around the internet.

We’re watching it. Not sure why. Downstairs are getting a stove put in so there’s the lovely soundtrack of drilling.

When you can no longer bear the BBC commentary telling you every bloody obvious detail coupled with pointless filler they also do a non-commentary feed which is rather nice and perfect for background in these difficult days. You'll just hear the gentle doffing of caps and horses trying to make a leap for freedom. how do I find this?

It's being shown on every sky channel, I don't get the n ed to force it on people. If people want to watch it having a choice of a couple of channels is plenty enough.

What kind of lunatic doesn't panic buy a weeks worth of supplies the day before before the funeral of a Monarch? I did The Big Shop yesterday and it was fucking heaving. I had to queue just to get a zapper. And judging by the cases of fosters in peoples trolleys, there are going to be a lot of people watching this with sore heads.

I can confirm Brave Sir Cubby's statement regarding the current unavailability of dairy goods - judging by my visit to the supermarket yesterday afternoon, most people are planning to send the Queen on her merry way with full-on afternoon teas.
