I’d probably be quite grumpy if my mam died and instead of doing nothing I had to have the busy work week of my life

Also cycling and swan puking now, probably head butting an angry Chelsea pensioner on the A46 too 👍

But also he's been sort of waiting for this for 40 years. ....and using fountain pens since he was in short trousers so what the fuck is goin on there. Was he at Pizza Express when Eton held the lesson on how to use one.

email from screwfix, apparently it'd be disrespectful to re-silicon the bathroom on the 19th so they're closing to ensure nobody gets any traitorous ideas

I'm struggling to deal with all this, Sky disconnected, two nice bottles of whisky and xenoblades 3. I'll re-engage with the world once this is done.

Why is xenoblade 3 good know, when it was only mediocre on its previous release?
edit: Nevermind, I'm thinking of xenoblade 3d.

totally unrealistic

I've heard of Oban - although I don't think I've ever tried any of their products - and I'm totally unfamiliar with Edradour.
Enjoy them, anyway!

Also on a monarch's death your title passes on to someone nobody else with power respects, all their subjects suddenly hate them and their realm falls apart for reasons you're not quite sure you follow.

Definitely giving Charles a pass on being grumpy after his mam died. The ridiculous show of it all combined with the god awful news coverage and virtue signalling is toe curling. To top it off Charles effectively can't do or say a damn thing about it other than let the circus guide him.
If anything, him cracking makes him seem more human. The rest of what he's had to say since she died has made me warm to him or at least have some empathy towards him.
Royals rarely use words for the sake of it. How Charles mentioned things like "his darling wife" and how he will "serve whatever time left God grants me" seem slightly odd. Prince of Wales isn't an inherited title either and didn't need to pass onto William. I do wonder if Charles might have an underlying health issue himself other other than his actual age.

Edradour was also a smash hit for German duo Sash! In 1997

If it gets us another bank holiday I'd be okay with it,*as long* as it's more than a month away so my work project can get off the ground. After that I'd welcome all the royal deaths if it gets us a holiday each time.

He has had Covid twice, hasn’t he? I do wonder how much time the Queen’s spell with Covid took off her. Think it was definitely a factor in her not quite managing to reach Queen Mother levels of longevity.

Charles is clearly a bellend, but I've never understood why people hate him so, so much compared to other poshos*. He talks shite and looks like gout on legs, but I hold out hope that he goes hard on the environmentalism stuff, especially given recent governments.
If he can do that then I can almost forgive him for being a part of the inbred parasite class that should've been melted down into fish food long ago
*obviously Diana, but she can fuck off too.

Was interesting there to see there on Good Morning Britain a journalist amongst the crowd queuing for Buckingham Palace and Martin Lewis asking logistics of how big the queue is, how fast is it moving, what's being done to speed up the process etc. All from the angle of informing people so they don't head down and get stuck in a queue if they have other obligations that day...and the journalist got visibly angry about it. Saying it didn't matter as people want to be there and are happy to be there queuing for hours on end.
