Quite like my Series S and the slimline PS2 was fairly sleek.

Didn't like the original phat PS3, but the slim revision was a lovely bit of kit in comparison. Then they released the top loading abomination.

Master System 1. So gloriously 80s, I love that nonsense "schematic" on it and everything about it really.
Mega Drive 1 is a close second, the Japanese version with the bigger golden "16-BIT" letters and the purple "AV Intelligent Terminal" and "High Grade Multipurpose Use" inscriptions.

I slightly regret getting my GC in black. Purple would have looked nicer. OG Mega Drive. I liked the form factor of the Game Boy Advance SP.

Xbox Series X, which may be biased by being my current console. I do think it's a really nice, simple design though, especially considering the competition
For nostalgia, probably Super Nintendo

The Xbox since the 360 has to have the worst names for a console. All the ones named in here I legit can't tell which one is the new one.

One X, Series S, Series X all up there.
Wii, but only when in the stand. The tilt makes it.
PSOne with the official screen is a cute little thing too.

Almost forgot. For handheld: The Gameboy Color in translucent purple. Close second: The original PSP with its OLED screen and piano gloss finish (fingerprint magnet!) still looks sexy today.

Seeing those translucent colored plastics really reminds me of my childhood in the late 80ies, early 90ies. Every second toy seemed to use them.

I slightly regret getting my GC in black. Purple would have looked nicer. OG Mega Drive. I liked the form factor of the Game Boy Advance SP. Same. I begrudgingly chose black when buying mine because I was an insecure teen, at the time people used the word "gay" as a negative. But in my heart I always wanted the purple. Oddly enough, a few years earlier, I had no problem picking the purple GameBoy Color, although maybe it helped that back then, the choices were matte purple or translucent lavender.

I literally have all of these consoles on display at all times and to be honest they all just represent an era in time and what design sensibilities were in fashion at the time. Picking an actual favourite is really hard because they are all so iconic and so different. I think people's favourite designs are really just nostalgia for what they spent time with as a kid; and there's nothing wrong with that.
For example, I love looking at the original NES because how can that not look good to a gamer. You judge it by its classic 80s vibe and also what it means to you and to gaming in general. It looks really good. But if it came out now? It would be called the most hideous console ever and I'd probably be one of the people saying that. Same for Master System, 2600 (wood panelling!). Basically everything given enough time. Even the (PAL) SNES would probably look pretty stupid.
Anyway picking least favourites is much easier because it's objectively the modern rectangle box era of Xboxes. Now apart from the original Xbone, which is genuinely disgusting, they are really very, very pretty rectangle boxes but next to literally every other game system ever they are so uninspired with zero character and are completely fucking boring on the shelf. The 360 RROD debacle made MS afraid to put any character into their other designs.
I dislike the PS5 for the exact opposite reason. It's distinctive as hell but I'm just not keen. That being said it's got the potential to be a grower, and if as a platform it carries on doing the business then in years to come there's the same potential for it to become iconic. It's not going to happen with Xbox Series One Xbox S one.
It saddens me to consider the idea that in 30 years time there might be a Xbox Series S lego set and somebody is going to build an anonymous white block and proudly display it on a sad little shelf somewhere.

PSP is probably my favorite handheld, but did you mean that or the Vita? The latter's the one with the OLED. They're basically the same design, FWIW, but I prefer the button sizes and locations of the PSP more. Also the back touchpad of the VITA, and the tiny hand grooves because of it kind of ruined the Vita for me.

@spooky
Probably a similar age, I was about 20 but yes, gay was used as a slur and probably had a similar effect on my buying of the black GC.

The GB Advance has nice iterations - the SP especially. Even like the Game & Watch one. I dug out my OG Advance the other day though and was dismayed that the clear purple/blue casing had turned yellow. It's not on my list of best looking consoles by a long shot, but still might be a nice refurb project.

I think I only realised I like a colourful console when the Switch came out and the Red/Blue version was just so much more exciting than the boring old Black/grey one.

Never owned a Vita, still have my PSP.
The only major design flaw of the PSP was the location of the power LED. It is obscured by your hand/thumb so you never notice when the battery is low. Combine that with autosave...
