I'm after some recommendations for a decent laptop dock for work. We've been given a budget to get stuff for home and I've purchased most of my stuff already so a dock is all I need.
They've currently given me some cheap PoS wavlink that frankly is only good enough to be a doorstop. The amount of times it craps out is unreal. It's only doing 1 monitor and network. Had to take the other monitor off it because 30hz at nearly 4k is eye searingly painful.
My work laptop is a Dell precision 3560 and looking at the shit in the box it looks to have 2 thunderbolt/usb-c ports.
Must have Power delivery for laptop so I can unplug the laptop. 3x DP ports @ 2k 60hz Gigglebit ethernet
Anybody using a decent one that's reliable?
Recommended Dell model WD19 seems to have mixed reviews
I really miss my old work laptop because it had an actual docking station that you sat it on and it worked perfectly

I have a Thinkpad USB-C dock, but it only has 2 DP ports. But it works pretty well.

Without checking I wouldn’t have thought that there are many docks with 3 Display Ports. We also use the Thinkpad USB-C as well and they’re ok. I guess daisy chaining the existing monitors isn’t an option.

Yeah, was going to say you'll probably need to daisy chain or use HDMI for some of them. I've got a Dell dock (K17A) that's been absolutely bulletproof for me throughout WFH, so I'd probably buy another one if it came to it. Wouldn't fit the bill for you though as only one mini DP.

You can get triple monitor Thunderbolt docks, but they’re going to be at least a couple of hundred. Regular cheapo docks simply don’t have the bandwidth to support it.

Yeah work are paying so I'm looking to increase the budget a bit more than I probably would.
I think the new Dell WD22TB4 is what I'm angling at.
