Backup: chips, fried eggs, beans and cheap buttered white bread.

It's Father's Day, therefore Chinese takeaway. Perfect.

Very lazy and not at all authentic slow cooker chilli. Didn't even bother defrosting the mince before browning it. I keep saying I'll try a proper no bean one with chunks of meat, but just always go the typical UK mince, kidney beans and tinned toms way.
It smells absolutely AMAZING mind you...

Having tasted aubergine before, I would have to say it's the aubergine. It just felt like a sarky kind of "my favourite".
If it's legit your favourite then enjoy!

I really hope my quick Pixel photo is up to standards… Roast beef in red wine, with roast potatoes, garden veg and a gravy made from the juices. Bloody excellent. Back to chicken next week. Bkaaaaw.

In the end, I went with the ribeye at Pulperia - which came with fries and a half onion roasted in mustard and bone marrow: photos.app.goo.gl/icrkx7XPhxtp2WYN8It was good but the sauce was a little thin and the steak was under-seasoned (which was easily rectified). The onion was fantastic though, and I practically licked the plate clean.
