Heh - glad to see Innuendobot had migrated too. Anyway, I did it, I got my sausage sizzle and it was average. Well as average as a low-quality sausage cooked by a child can be. Looks good, no? What, no onions? Very unaustralian.

I can’t be bothered with any steak other than fillet these days, everything else is too heavy for me. I even prefer it erring towards well done, fuck the steak police

Savage.
My wife made some cupcakes for a friend's Christening. They wanted Royal Blue, so a lot of food colouring went in. She had a few left over so my kids had one. Youngest just went to the bog and freaked out at her very green poo. Cracked me up.

Thankfully other half is feeling as lazy as me so takeaway sushi is sounding likely...

Risotto...vegetarian risotto it seems. They were worried they had enough to go round, so I said I could make myself a steak. So... steak and chips it is Oh and Instant Pots are great. I'm always using ours for all kinds of things.

I mostly got it for rice and dim sum, but if you have any tips send them my way.
Kind of weird that it has jacket potatoes on the box. Can you pressure cook a jackpot?

Handy recipe if you want to start off small with the Toad recipe it can go very wrong in a bigger tray.

Beef Rendang that's been cooking all day and has made me hungry smelling it all day. From scratch or from a paste? I've found a couple of good brands of paste in the local asian supermarket. I just bought some anchovy sambal too on a whim, fuck knows what I'm going to do with it. I might make nasi goreng or nasi lemak at some point and chuck some next to it with some pickled veg

From scratch, a lady I used to work with taught me how after I use to go on at her when she brought it in for lunch.
Hardest part is sourcing some of the ingredients.

Nice! I've only ever tried thai red curry from scratch and it just wasn't as good as previous versions from a paste

Apparently for Red thai, it's all about getting the right dried chillies and rehydrating them. Get the wrong chillies and the flavour will never be as good.

Takeaway tacos because possibly no takeaways for a while. A chicken con cola and a fried fish. Sadly they didn't have the green chorizo and fried egg one.

Rib eye steak cooked to medium rare perfection, a fresh batch of skin on chips (I always parboil a load and then freeze if there are spuds that need using up) and the random addition of asparagus that wasn't going to get used otherwise.
My piss stinks now.

Some of this: aktarathome.co.uk/product/curry-box/It’s from a Michelin star chef and actual works out much cheaper than normal takeaways. It feeds 8 people easily (or any combination of).

That parboiling and freezing the chips idea is great. I'm always waisting potatoes.

Chicken and chips takeaway box from the local co-op. It was actually really tasty, almost like a KFC.
