Oven or pizza oven won't make any difference when it's three weeks past the use by date!
🤣😜

Chicken Tikka tonight (almost) from scratch, I used to have a recipe book that had a great Tikka paste recipe, literally used to make your eyes water and burn your nose as you were cooking it but somehow it's been mislaid over the years so Pataks will have to do.

Just had the eldest poke his head in the kitchen 'can I please close your door as that's literally burning my throat', I think that's a result. 😄

Hmm, naans in an air fryer needs some work, I thought 4 mins or so in the air fryer on air fryer setting would do it but it eventually ended up crispy.

BBQ leftovers today. Which for me is sausages, reheated and crisped up back on the griddle then slapped between 2 slices of slightly stale bloomer that I toasted on the grill too. With red sauce. Filthy but heavenly.

Wish I could buy a giant Yorkshire pudding to put it all in, my oven is too shit to make my own.

Onion rings are ok but they're never something I would actively seek out and order or make.

Hmm, yeah. The batter always just seems to be the flimsiest thing. Like it actively doesn't want to be with the onion.

Couldn't sleep for stomach rumbling, so a 3 in the morning ham sandwich was in order.

Doing a ham later. So it'll be warm honey glazed mustard ham slices with spiced potato wedges and fried eggs.

So I've got some chicken thighs marinating in the fridge and I'm looking to do gyros tonight aka meat tower! This guy has got a great tool: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Br_XYP6eSYBut I haven't, so it's the half onion/skewer route for me. Slightly concerned about his 2hr cook time, so I'll be monitoring closely/foiling etc.. Fingers crossed!!

They were great actually, I don't mind confessing I watch some feed on YouTube or whatever and I'm happy to follow it, glad I did (see link below). I cooked about five, had two for dinner with a Sainsburys Tzatziki dip and the missus had one then I've had one each day for lunch since. Think when I do them again I'll use beef as it's a stronger meat (and also half the price of lamb) and probably add a little extra on the spices, I think an Indian Raita dip would go really well with these and I can knock that up myself better than anything I can buy. Next time I'll try to source some better Pitas too as the Sainsburys ones are really pretty dire. www.youtube.com/shorts/UXIM6g0F2AA

Nice!
If you've got a spare half hour and need to occupy the kids, it's well worth making your own flatbreads in future. I used to use Nigella's recipe (was looking after my nephews and there wasn't much scope to cover the whole place in flour, egg or anything else)
