Sequel is just out and instead of playing it, I'm scouring the internet for answers to prove I really did play the first game. Bastards.
Anyway, I'll be a happy camper if it's anywhere as good as the first game. Once I'm able to play it, of course.

Fucks sake. I have gamepass with 400 games, ps plus special top bollocks with another 400 free games and all I want to do is spend money on ANOTHER fucking game.
But I am a sucker for weird Japanese shit, it is my favourite genre so I have no choice.

Sequel delayed a few weeks in Europe (physically at least) so having to wait a bit longer. I did enjoy the original though, as I do most Uchikoshi games.

Is this free on xbox? Was pursuing on the app and it just had download next to it. So I did.
It is downloading on my console at 70% now, but on store is preorder for a month away?

Yeah, you can install any game that you want via the Xbox app. Useful if you own it or will own it soon. Not so useful otherwise.
For some reason I thought the previous game was a switch/PS exclusive. Went to double check it while I was working and got distracted multiple times. Oh well, guess I'll have a bit of sunk cost fallacy with the PS4 version I just bought...

It did come out much later on Xbox, which is why it's more associated with the other platforms.

I played the demo when it first came out and while I enjoyed the slice, it was kinda enough for me.

For anyone thinking of playing the sequel on the Steam Deck, it works just fine except for videos. There’s a video on start (company logos?) and one behind the main menu. Then, within the first two hours there’s a very short video, so presumably there’ll be more. GE-Proton (I tested the newest 7-20 and 7-10 just in case there was a regression) shows a bit more, but still garbled.
I’m sure this’ll get fixed at some point, but for now perhaps hold off.
Apart from that, it’s a joy on the SD. I’m strongly reminded of playing YsVIII on the Vita, which has good touchscreen support. I can use the buttons, I can use the touchscreen, it’s all very convenient.

Played a few hours last night. I have no idea what's going on, but I like being back in that world.
I kind of dig the Tamagotchi-like virtual pet that grows as you answer questions. I wonder how much the questions for your pets, Aiba and Tama will effect the overall story, or the protagonist's personality in the long run.
