Not forgetting to press the indicator buttons on the wheel while you're doing it so people can see where you're going.

I suppose it is on brand for a car designed by and for nerds that it would throw a fit if you tried to wash it.

I will be perpetually amazed that much much much much much much (save some time - imagine, just imagine "much" extending to the point where I am banned) less rich cunts actually defend this hypnotoad of.. something. Because he's rich.

Because he's rich. I don't think it's particularly complicated, he's like an embodiment of nerd aspirational fantasy. Socially awkward, got beat up in high school, has no idea how to treat other human beings. But he's also super smart and saves the world with his giant brain, and is proof positive that anything can be solved with engineering. And he's rich and is taking us to space, and has (well, had) a hot girlfriend. Not saying that all of that is true, but I can see why he's got a little nerd cult of personality around him.

That's not cashing out, that's Midas level narcissism thinking you actually deserve the GDP of a small country.

Especially when you're laying thousands of people off at the exact same time.

This is what irates me about our/any company.
'we are cutting headcount as we to need to be fit and lean. On an unrelated note, my compensation package is rising by the exact amount recovered in this cost saving exercise'

I work for a company that does anywhere from 600m-1.4b in business per month. We got a free coffee last month for breaking records, during lay-offs and introducing AI which increases our KPIs despite it not being a part of BAU yet.

Shareholder logic
Money distributed to many tax-paying individuals = bad Money given to a single tax-avoiding individual = good

Getting the accelerator controls right has been such a difficult thing to do since cars were invented in the nineteenth century.

I had a Seat Leon that kind of, sort of did a similar thing. With the factory fitted mats in, the accelerator occasionally got stuck under them when you literally floored it. It was scary but at least I could knock it into neutral without having to navigate through half a dozens menus.

Many years ago, when I was being rather messier than I should have, I had an empty 500ml bottle somehow get into the driver's footwell and under the accelerator and I suddenly couldn't accelerate very much. Pulled over and realised I should tidy up a bit more often so it didn't happen again.

Entirely typical that a supplier gets blamed for an adverse lubricant. They really should have designed a higher quality product where a bit of grease doesn't create a deathtrap.

Whizzo - Would have been more exciting if it wedged under the brake pedal.

Where do you take your cybertruck for a recall when they don’t have any dealerships? Will the fix be simply screwing a 30mm pozidrive through the pedal? How can they fix this over the air? So many questions

In fairness it must have been difficult to see this problem coming as you have to be able to drive one of them for longer than a few minutes without it breaking down in order for this to occur.
I also saw a thing about how if you put one through a car was without activating some car wash mode thing in the settings it'll just fucking break.
I held my tongue recently when the nephew of one of my in-laws was talking about his new Telsa (his dad bought if for him ofc) and apparently you can't open the fucking glove box without going through the touch screen. What a pile of shit. Deliberately making garbage just to appear futuristic.

Just make sure you're not sat in the back of a Model X during an emergency where there's no power. I mean, it's a good job these things don't have a habit of randomly bursting into flames (lol) because by the time you figure out how to get the door open you're fucking toast.
