TBF, I'm just impressed they'd even updated their welcome message. I'd have expected it to still say "Welcome to Twitter!"

Did that really need a whole news article, BBC? Maybe they would have normally posted a tweet instead. To be fair, when "this person said a thing on twitter, here is how people reacted on twitter" is worth a journalist's time, twitter being down is pretty significant.

I'm curious how the #TwitterDown hashtag managed to trend during a global Twitter outage.

Maybe Elon has joined the flat earthers, just nice straight lines is all his brain can muster now.
The cybertruck certainly would fit that theory. Bet he's gutted he couldn't put square wheels on it.

Well, whilst the idea was proposed by Musk I don't think he had any real involvment in the company?
I mean it's not a great idea but not sure how much of this we can really ascribe to Musk.

How is pressing a button on the steering wheel easier than a stalk on the column? Fuck that.

I mean at an absolute stretch at least put a button on each side! But yeah, fuck that.

Yeah buttons is stupid. There’s a reason cars have a lot of the key controls where they do and in the form they’re in. I’m surprised that one isn’t a regulation.

It'd play Grateful Dead and have 4D smells of weed and popcorn for the full effect.

Those steering wheels are terrible to begin with, putting important functions on them is just insane.

If an F1 driver can manage it, it should be no problem for the average cybertrucker.

Does a loop have corners? I think theoretically it has infinite corners.

I'd have thought the truck's AI would be smart enough to work out which way you're going to turn. Then you'd only need one button.

It's some incredibly awful driving from the Cybertruck driver even if they hadn't stupidly removed the indicator stalk.

Designing and testing switchgear is hard, just ask Stockton Rush. That’s why Tesla had to buy their steering columns and other important hardware from 20 year old Mercedes/Ford parts bins. It’s so much cheaper to just put everything on a cheap button or shift it to the centre console while the fanboys go wild over how “clean” it all looks

Seen an ad on my twitter feed of a video claiming that smoking doesn't damage the lungs and what's more, it helps in fighting against and preventing covid.
Proof you can make up any old shite and profit

Ahhhh yes that extremely homogeneous white culture. I counter that she's not a Nazi or a racist, she's just an ignorant fucking moron who believes everything she says is fucking genius like a 1st year sixth-form politics student who has been working really hard on their MySpace page. I'm in no way surprised that she willingly had a relationship with Elon Musk. Trash attracts trash.
