Spoken about this with someone and I mentioned the example of Lia Thomas not continuing to dominate. He mentioned that she has been deliberately holding back and throwing races. And that the research exists to say trans women do do.inaye but people are cowed into silence because its now an ideological issue rather than a rational one. Can't have a discussion when the other side believes this

And no one knows about the research and evidence that transwomen perform better than those assigned female at birth, because the researchers are too scared to show. We only see evidence that transpeople don't outperform their rivals because it's an ideology.

This has probably been covered in the previous 7 pages but why the fuck is this such a big issue? Out of the entire human population hardly anyone reaches professional status for a sport, out of that how many people are actually trans?!

Because people really want to be mean to minority groups again and the trans community are one of the few left that the general population are undecided about.
Allowing people to 'just ask questions' abut them opens the door to homophobia and maybe a sprinkling of racism.

Its largely pushing against a closed door because most people dont care, so they have hyper-focussed on areas people do worry about: sports, child abuse and toilets.

While not a priority issue for anyone, fairness in sport should always be highest for competitive sport. It's a really tricky issue and I don't think it's fair to boil it down to black and white, certainly not for things like swimming on running. Treat it on a case by case basis. Combat sports and rugby - hell no. Too risky.

I grew up doing it Cornish style but my wife is a Devonian so I’ve been converted.
I think really it all depends on the quality of the cream. If you’ve proper thick delicious clotted cream then a little dollop of jam on top of that I think is the best way.
