It's a little like Bloodborne in the way it rewards being very aggressive and the only way (that I know of) to get your posture back in the blue is to attack and or parry. So maybe I have killed 6-8 bosses now and by far the first boss was the hardest.

I’m bloody loving it so far if I’m honest. Not played much mind you. Killed the fire teleporting prick and left it there. Main gripe actually is r2 tied to offering a healing flask at a grave. In the middle of a fight near some graves I always end up doing that.

Why are you pressing R2 mid fight? The only button is b on Xbox or circle on a ps pad!  . Is the teleporting dude the wizard in like a purple cave? If yes I'm maybe only one hour ahead of you. |

I kept wondering why I seemed keep randomly swapping weapons and it turns out I’m cack handed enough to occasionally activate the offensive counter.
If you press rb+B to counter, you will switch to your backup weapon, counterattack with it and clear all your negative ki.

Equip 2 of the same weapon and then it won't matter!

I mean it seems like everything you can deflect so not sure how much magic will be required. I've discovered even magic can be parried.

Thread now has more sloth than the game.
There is a mud puddle that slows things down a bit but it's not the same.

I have lots of points in Earth phase, and some of the stone spells are pretty useful, especially against bosses. Spidercow didn’t like rock pillars in her bowels at all.
Finding the levels increasingly quite difficult now, not the bosses, but just getting through, in a good way, though. I‘d rather have more difficult levels than too tough bosses.

So far pretty much all earth and fire. Nothing in water and the other bottom one. A little in the one that increases equipment load.

I’m all in on fire. I ended up using the fire carpet spell and cheesing it to death. I cast it after every parry or jump splat and then ran away to the middle distance and let it just eat away at it.
If you’re playing a fairly linear way with no grinding, you end up there *way* under levelled. The boss isn’t that hard in and off itself, it just takes no damage and hits like a truck so you have to be completely on it for like ten minutes while you gradually wear it down.
Unless I’m playing completely wrong.

I would say yes, but be prepared to have your ass kicked for a little bit. As soon as you can beat the first boss you can probably do the next 3-4 fairly easily.

It's going to be a bit of trial by fire as it's far more intense than Dark Souls or Elden Ring, but it's freely available to you so why wouldn't you just try it if you're curious?

Is anyone playing this on PC? Seems that it is a broken mess, but not sure if that is a universal problem or if it is just a vocal minority.
Likely to add this to my list of Game Pass games to play. To be honest, by the time I get around to it any issues will likely be fixed.
