I am so very, very glad they didn't go with the concept art version of Sera for Inquisition where they made her look like that bint off Die Antwoord.

Quite looking forward to playing this. Would be great to see bioware get back to something like their best form as the action RPG space is much better with them doing well.

IGN and GameSpot were also pretty positive in their own previews.
Dare we dream?

Skillups video (done by Austin) is really good, he goes into a bit of detail and spoils nothing. Well worth a watch.

I've somehow missed the Dragon Age games, am I going to be able to pick this up and know what's going on?

pierrepressure I didn't play either of the first two, but I did play the third (Inquisition) and didn't feel at all lost. I reckon you'll be fine.

There is a recap and something else the previews can't speak about that brings you fully up to speed

This is looking more like Fantasy Mass Effect the more I see of it. Which I am totally down with.

Yeah it's good to be seeing so many positive previews for a Bioware game after so long.

Looks like god of war from the bit I saw which I don’t want from BioWare. Hopefully it’s amazing though as old BioWare games are some of my all time favourites. I just think maybe games have moved on and BioWare don’t have the old magic . I used to love BioWare writing but the stuff I’ve seen so far seems so far behind the likes of 2077, rdr2, bg3.

I just hope the writing delivers. That was what I loved about Origins, it was derivative guff but it was well written and voice acted derivative guff. The world building was excellent and despite the brown graphics it really felt like an adventure across not Middle-Earth with a rich history, ancient secrets etc etc. It had such momentum once it got going.
Since then, Bioware have still done well written party characters but the epic quest stuff hasn't been well replicated. DA:I was ok but the open world aspects were ridiculous and killed that momentum.

I'd forgotten how much I love Vivienne in DAI.
