Hades is great to just dip in and out of, I've still got disco elysium to finish OK PS5 but bought the series S for gamepass around the same time and haven't touched the playstation in about two weeks.
Just completed the first Pyschonauts in prep for the sequel and about to start that now.

The remarkable thing about MGSV is they got it running on the PS360 consoles The gameplay is very good, shame the engine fell by the wayside

Spelunky on Switch I'm not that good at it... Don't give up! It clicks eventually. Oh, I knew full well what I was getting myself into . Waiting for it to click... I'm also playing Ys VIII. The combat system hasn't grabbed me yet as Xenoblade 2 did and it does look a bit rough sometimes (especially coming from Dragon Quest XI, which looked glorious). But the story so far is different from the usual JRPG fare which makes it feel fresh.

Incredible that MGS V was on PS3/360.
I’m a graphics sort of guy and really think it looks special on PS5. I guess 60fps and 4K does that.
Still can’t get over how much better the gameplay is compared to the majority of games. I hate replaying games but this feels fresh.

Never understood why they bought in KS to do Snakes voice especially when Snake hardly speaks. Like 90% of the scenes he's mute

All I ever heard was Kiefer Sutherland being Kiefer Sutherland. Didn't care about Big Boss as a character at all. In fact, he came across as a bit of a mute dummy. Made you wonder why he was so revered as he had no personality (and I haven't played the other games)

Hollow knight. Don't want it to end. Although feel like I'm close. What a wonderful treat it is.

Battlefield 5
I think I'm in the minority by thinking this is the best battlefield. It does have a vertical learning curve, I even bounced off it at launch, but land in a game with evenly matched teams and its superb. The movement and gunplay just feels so so good.
Main frustration I find is enemies can be hard to see, but that's always been an issue since BF4.
I think the community had their knives out ever since the dreaded reveal trailer dared to show women and something different in a battlefield game.. for me though, easily the best in the series.

Immortals.
Fairly standard Ubi-fare, although I think I'm probably enjoying it more than I did Valhalla. Probably because it's less po-faced.
Also, the puzzle bits are quite fun.

So I managed to catch the panties thief last night in Judgment. Turns out he is one of 3 perverts. Then went and caught "Ass Catchem". A person who is going around town groping girls. I hate to think what the 3rd person is up to!
Only in a Japanese game!!!

Sounds brilliant. I was under the impression that the Judgement games were more serious in tone than the Yakuza series, glad to find out otherwise!

I've only played a litle of Yakuza:Zero, and also completed Like a Dragon. Seems very similar in tone....a serious main story line and very wacky and off the wall side quests.

I tried out that Genshin Impact thingy. It came as a complete shock to find that it looks gorgeous, plays nicely, and in the few hours I gave it, doesn't appear to have any particularly FTP shenanigans. I've deleted it because I could actually see it becoming a huge time sink and I've too much other stuff on the go, but I had more fun in three hours of that than I did in 15+ of BotW.

Yeah, I can definitely see myself getting hooked on Genshin. Tried it on PC and probably would've carried on but they didn't have cross save enabled then, so I couldn't carry on on the PS5 and just gave up.
Probably a good thing! I'm bad enough with Destiny as it is.

Still Scourgebringer and Spelunkiy 2, but have rounded them out with:
Curse of the Dead Gods - It’s excellent, if you happen to be looking for a new action roguelite experience. Very good combat, brutally hard. Pretty much devoid of story and characters, though, sadly.
Invisible Inc. - This one regularly finds its way back into rotation, as it’s just masterclass.
I should probably try to balance all this hard shit out with something chilled, like Stardew Valley, but apparently that’s a farming simulator that doesn’t even have permadeath! What’s the world coming to!

Subnautica: Below Zero
It's a lot more polished with some much needed QoL improvements. I absolutely loved the first and this is more of the same so I'm happy.
It does lose that wow moment the first had when you first dive into the water though.

Started Axiom Verge after watching the making of video earlier and got to what I'm assuming is the part people say the game turns to shit at... A while past the fourth boss. Just got the grappling hook and made my way to Ukkin-Na where I seem to be unable to backtrack from. First room past the save point and there are these annoying big sweaty minge armadillos who don't seem worth killing, but are bastards to get past without losing half of your health. It just gets more frustrating from there on, not helped by the screen changing colour all the time due to main character losing his marbles. It's not ridiculously hard (yet), but I'd hate to play it on hard mode! /edit Having said that, it's not too bad after switching my weapons up a bit.

I'm playing Psychonauts 2 on gamepass on PC. I thought it was going to be one of those sequels that never came out, so I'm surprised and happy to be playing it. I'm still early on in the game but I like it so far
