The fixtures will not, however, be released this week. Following the scheduling meeting, teams will take a period of weeks to give final confirmation on each date and ensure travel is already planned, where necessary, before the full list is made public. The final date of the 2023 Premier Sports Playoff Finals Weekend is subject to confirmation on conclusion of the IIHF World Championships.
We can confirm that Week 1 of the 2022/23 season has already been set - games may start from Friday 9 September onwards!

LET'S GO DEVILS.

Tonight's games:
Great Britain v Austria (GB 3-5 AUS)
Well that was nothing if not predictably fucking disgusting. GB with a 2-0 lead going into the third, and then losing it all in the last few minutes. Stupendous third goal from Cade Neilson, but they completely broke down after that. They were 3-3 with eight minutes to go, and then bloody Austria slammed them in one after another. The fifth one they put in was an open bloody net with a little over a minute to go.
Ben Bowns should be in for a right dressing down after that display, but he's not the only one to blame.
So they've gone down a division and Austria have stayed up. Bollocks. Not that I was expecting anything different after a championship where they've had not one but two six-nil drubbings, not to mention last nights' 4-3 cock-up against Latvia.
Canada v Denmark (CAN 2-3 DEN)
Now there's an unforeseen upset. Denmark's first win against Canada, EVER. Notwithstanding that fucking impressive goal from Maxime Comtois, straight from a face-off, I presume the team is getting shot for treason when they get home?
