You'd think they'd have checked that prior to sending it up there It was probably something like they couldn’t tell it didn’t work until it was out-of-atmosphere and not-working. |

I kinda like that idea. When it comes to limited edition consoles, even if I love the design I always end up going with a vanilla console with the impossible idea I’ll rebuild a collection of uniform looking games consoles and it’ll look clean.
Having something like this means you can make your console look as goofy as you like for a few years and still have the original, clean finish preserved until you’re too old to remember what a games console is.
Kinda like those plastic plates you can get for PS5 and the ‘new’ 3DS.

It’s a broad generalisation but my moneys on XB crowd typically younger than PS crowd?
Plus depending on your pov the PS5 is already attractive… the XBX is a black brick and the controller hardly a looker…

The starfield one has sold out on the ms website so expect a bazillion scalper listings coming to an ebay near you. Mineral Camo is still available though.

I really like the Starfield design on all the custom stuff - from the controllers to this cover - but until I actually play the game and decide that I love it, it feels a bit weird to be shelling out for branded tat.
Hopefully these things will be back in stock for Christmas, when I might have made up my mind.

At least you can stick the xbox in a corner and people will think it's a rubbish bin. Though if they throw too much trash in there it might block up the vents.

My Series X is on the end of a bookshelf, and nobody has ever noticed it. I’ve been asked what I’m playing on because people can’t see an obvious console. I like it for its anonymity. The PS5 is on the floor under a desk in the back room where I merely hope nobody sees it.  |

I remember taking the PS5 out of the box and was very much "what a hideous thing". You pretty much forget about it after a while. After a couple of years of owning it though, it is has a uniqueness that the XBOX definitely doesn't have. |

I’ve had mine just over 2 years and that vent is surprisingly clear. It sits under my TV and the shelf directly above it is like a metal grating, so I guess the airflow is pretty good? Similarly the Series S also has its vent on top (if you lay it flat) and that is also dust free. Seemingly. |
