I wouldn't worry too much about armour, but being able to upgrade the weapons is pretty handy, if only to be able to stick a silencer on everything.

Oh awesome! I’ve literally just re-started a fresh playthrough of this and this will help massively. Noice.

I need to pick this up again now it's been patched a bit. Thing is my schedule is pretty full for the rest of the year game wise so it might slip to next year. At least there will be even more patches before that.

I’ve had it on hold since starting Pikmin 4, but I’m keen to jump back in this weekend. I play predominantly on Series S (occasionally on Series X), but might give the 60fps mode another go.

Done 2 playthroughs.
Though the 2nd was a ill take the new game+ shortcut and finished it in less than 2hrs. Was planning to do a more dark/evil run on my 3rd go.

I could have done without that shyte music on the trailer, but the vehicle itself looks passable enough.
Probably give it about three weeks before it appears in Forza as well.

Was watching Luke Stephens video of the Rover update and it broke the planet textures!
Also the creation club quest which costs $8 and you get unique sniper rifle is still broken as you can't reload it still from launch of the quest

Restarting the game fixes the sniper rifle. Takes so long to reload though, I almost prefer going into equipment and unequipping/reequipping for an instant reload.

I didn’t know that was a thing, but that is kinda funny.

The 60fps mode on Series S has some weird visual effects going on, possibly from some kind of image reconstruction? I’ve only been walking around Neon and my ship, but it’s kinda jarring.
Back to steady 30fps.

Is this much different from launch? I only got as far as the first world after the intro mission. I didn’t dislike it but it was just pretty boring and these days when you can have ten things installed that still need playing I binned it.
I loved Skyrim at the time but games have improved and it felt like I was just playing space Skyrim, which kinda sounds amazing but everything about it was very dated.

Same the first time i tried it a year ago, bounced off it after 2hrs, didn't help that i''d just come from 80hrs in Cyberpunk2077 and this felt so outdated and unengaging in comparison.
Giving it a 2nd chance and 25hrs in. Am just past the big decision point in the middle of the story. Doing the Crimson Fleet inflitration side mission strand (best part so far) and suddenly the game's got it's hooks in properly. Now enjoying it a lot despite the clunk and the many flaws.

I’ve only just registered to the Vanguard after 40 hours and that flight simulation test was humbling. I cannot beat the fifth tier. I can barely last a minute. At least it’s not compulsory, I suppose!

Hey man. That’s called sexual efficiency. Under a minute is both a time and energy saver.

Had a lot of updates but ultimately it's still that. But give the side quests a go because the main story doesn't really pick up until a mission on Neon. Can use mods now though if you don't care about achievements.

I’ve only just discovered (after 50 hours) that if you point your cursor at any part of a planet and press start (or whatever that button is called) you can land at that location if it’s not under water.
What.

Yeah I stumbled across that during my first play.
Wonder if it's like that in other Bethesda games cause I'm pretty sure it never tells you.

I guess there’s so much to take in. I only figured out how to holster my gun the other day too, because I had accidentally done so during a fight.
Also, I can’t figure out if it is because my scanning has improved, but it feels like you can scan things from a greater distance from inside you buggy. I scanned an entire planet in about 10 minutes this way. You don’t get an awful lot of XP for doing so, though…

Think you can upgrade the scanner distance.
I've yet to try it since the new update but think I'll hold off now till shattered space.

It controls just the same as the vehicles in Halo, which makes using the first person camera a bit of a nightmare. It does have a boost and a jump boost, so you can throw yourself around the terrain quite quickly.
Good fun.

It says deep dive, it's the trailer we've already seen with added interruptions.

Nope, that's separate. 110gb update for Starfield and another 15gb for Shattered Space.
I might get to start playing by about midnight.
